This absolutely gorgeous home is situated in the heart of the South Florida Gold Coast just 10 minutes from the beach, close to several major malls and a limitless choice of great restaurants. The entire home has recently been remodeled with all the latest comforts and top of the line upgrades. The gourmet kitchen features granite counter tops, custom cabinetry, all new appliances and even a wine cooler. The family room/ kitchen area opens to the relaxing lanai and pool deck where you can watch boats on their way to and from the intracoastal waterway and the ocean. A thirty foot dock is available for your own boat or a rental if you choose. The full size pool and expansive deck is the ideal setting for family fun in the Florida sun. The home also features a living room equipped with HDTV and surround sound system. We stayed in this beautiful house from 2nd - 12th september 2009. We were greeted by the owners and shown round. A welcome pack of coffee, croissants and fruit much appreciated. The house has everything you would want & is exactly as described. the house is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood part of North Fort Lauderdale close to a publix and shops. beach 5 mins drive away. Fort Lauderdale airport 15 mins drive. My husband and daughter spent many happy hours fishing from the deck at the back. Spent a relaxing time at the house which was a 'staging post' for us between North florida and the keys ... it is a leisurely 1.5 hrs from Key Largo & 45 mins from Miami. Would definitely recommend this house. Loads of room ( we were a party of 4 adults) would easily sleep 2 families
Owner's Response: We make every effort to personally greet each of our guests and to provide them with all the information they may need for their stay. Maps showing the route to the nearest supermarket and our favoriite restaurants along with a welcome basket filled with goodies are there when you arrive. We have been especially privileged to meet many, many wonderful people such as this family who have stayed in our home. Our experience with www.homeaway.com has been extraordinary.

Family Travellers - Please Read!

We've just returned from a week in this beautiful home and the owners do not say nearly enough about the lengths to which they go to make you feel welcome. Apart from an immaculate and absolutely perfectly equipped home, there was a lovely basket of fresh food waiting for us upon our [very hungry] arrival. Families traveling with younger children: you could not ask for more. We found toys for the kids to use inside and out, ranging from crafting supplies to bath toys and bikes to a play kitchen. Our children were thoroughly entertained at all times. There were videos for them to watch when mom and dad were grilling dinner and books for them to read before bed. Closest to my heart were a number of things left by Jan and Tom to ensure the safety of our little ones:pool flotation devices and water wings, latches to secure door and cupboard handles, and plug sockets to prevent small fingers from going where they should not be. I was touched by the commitment to our entire family having a good time and that we most certainly did. We are already planning a return visit (but the house is already booked for Xmas!) as the area is perfect for family travel and we barely scratched the surface of the things there are to do. Without hesitation, book your stay in this house. You will not regret it.

Wonderful waterside property

Truly exceeeded our expectations, the property had all we needed, no detail had been missed from fishing rods to a complimentary welcome pack. Spacious, immaculate property in beautiful tranquil location, right on the waters edge. Would love to return and would certainly recommend. Tom & Jan were the perfect hosts, a holiday to remember.

Lovely home for a holiday

We are a family of five and we spent two weeks in June/July, 2009. The house is really all that you see in the photos, and more. Everything is set up to have an enjoyable holiday, which we really had. The house was fully equipped, even pool towels, soap and shampoo was there for us. So you are able to relax and enjoy straight away. We especially enjoyed the pool and the pool area. With three kids wanted to do nothing but swimming it is outstanding to have your own pool. And since the house is located by the Cypress canal, where the boats cruise by in order to reach the Intracoastal or the sea, you can sit and loose yourself in just watching the boats pass by if you get tired of swimming in the pool. Very enjoyable! The house is very well planned with a lot of space with three nice bedrooms, nice bathrooms and a wonderful, well equipped kitchen if you prefer to stay at home instead of going to a restaurant.
The house is located at the south part of Pompano, which is very close to F: t Lauderdale. I can recommend the wonderful beach at Lauderdale-by-the-sea, which is a small "town" by the beach (only 10 min from the house by car). Perfect beach and also a great pier to enjoy fishing if you like. Close to the beach there is also cosy restaurants, shops and pubs.

The owners, Jan and Tom gave us a warm feeling of caring about their guests, and they were very helpful when we had questions or wanted help. I can really recommend this house to anyone for sunny holidays!

We stayed in Jan & Toms home from Feb 18 -25 2009 while visiting family living near by. It was just perfect, it had evrything you could possibly want and more ! Even though we were hardly there we all felt totally at home and very comfortable.
