The Seafoam is a newly renovated year-round cottage in the Chalker Beach community in Old Saybrook, CT. Everything - inside and out - is brand new, and the beach is only a 3 minute walk away!! The kitchen is equipped with a range, toaster, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker with seating for four - although there are several extra chairs for the friends you'll make while you're here! The bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, and closet. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa, cable TV, and broadband internet connection for the rare inclement weather (you supply the computer). The updated full bath has a stand-up shower. The large deck off the kitchen has seating for four, and leads to a back yard with a gas grill, and a garden with fresh vegetables! Watch the sunrise over the marsh from your bedroom window, and the sun set from the back deck.

The private beach is a very short walk away, and there are plenty of activities for the kids at the Chalker Beach clubhouse. A quick trip in either direction on I-95 brings you to even more options: New London where you can pick up the ferry for a day trip to Block Island or Long Island; either of two resort casinos - the Mohegan Sun and MGM-Foxwoods; historic Mystic, CT for shopping in Mystic Village, touring Mystic Seaport, or visiting the penguins (et al) at the award-winning Aquarium; premium outlet shopping in Westbrook and Clinton, CT; the classic Essex Steam Train and Riverboat that takes you on a scenic train ride and then a cruise on the Connecticut River.
