Saltbox-style home built new in 1992 on rocky shorefront of pristine Gouldsboro Bay overlooking Petit Manan Island Light and open ocean. Situated between the picturesque fishing village of Corea and the mainland section of Acadia National Park at Schoodic Head. The Peninsula is perfect for kicking back and enjoying the real Downeast Maine away from the crowds. Every room has an ocean view. The master bedroom has an adjoining study which opens onto a second story balcony. Our shore front is great for exploring, especially at low tide and there is a sand beach close by. There is a genuine feel to the small towns and villages, the people, and to the Peninsula at large. Popular attractions within an hour drive include: Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park at Mt. Desert Island, Campobello Island, and ferry service to Nova Scotia. Linens provided.

Restaraunts, galleries, shops, groceries. Laundromat, 5 & 10, ice cream. Organic farm, fresh lobster right from the pier. Acadia National Park (mainland) with 6 miles of one way road winding between bold crashing serf and evergreen forest. Quiet, but not too quiet. Private, but not isolated. And an ideal base from which to launch day trips, or simply kick back. Everything one needs is right on the peninsula.

Top of the stairs is a cozy bedroom with two twin beds, large painted dresser and cool closet. Especially perfect for children. Downstairs bedroom has a full bed, large dresser and closet, and is next to a full bathroom.

A wonderful family time!

This was an unplanned, last minute summer trip to Maine , and my family(with kids age 9 and 13) enjoyed every minute of it . The house we stayed was much nicer than what we expected(from the pictures). It is very clean and confortable place, and we were glad we chose to rent this vaction property, instead of being in a hotel.
Bar Harbor and Acadia is about 45 minutes driving from Corea, and we drove every day to the park with the weekly pass we had. After spending hours walking and visiting places, we came back to our vacation home with lobsters we bought from the local fishermen. The hard shell lobster was our favorite dinner menu!!!!! Enjoyng the rest of the day eating lobster with a glass of wine, and looking at the serene water view was just so,so, so nice!!!!!
We had a wonderful, quiet and peaceful family time, and we brought tons of beautifull pictures for our album. I really want to go back to see the fall folliage of Maine.
