Photos and Description of this Asheville holiday house Single Family w/ 4 Bedrooms - 2½ Bathrooms - Sleeps 12

Beautiful setting with wrap around deck overlooking forty mile mountain vista and lake. Nestled among the trees, this spacious 2500 square foot house is secluded, yet it is only minutes away from major shopping centers. It has a Great Room with Cathedral ceilings, a marble wood burning fire place, and a wall composed of floor to ceiling windows providing a spectacular view. The open floor plan includes a living room, dining room, and kitchen - all with mountain views. Throughout this area are red oak hardwood floors. Oak dining room table seats eight with additional seating at the bar. This house is on three levels and has lots of space, with a large family room, four bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, and 2 decks(one wrap around). Huge master bedroom with king size bed, one bedroom and family room have queen size beds (latter is a pull-out comfortable sofa). Another bedroom and the bonus room each have futons that sleep two. There is also an inflatable mattress that sleeps two.

Outside there is a hammock on the slope and wooden rocking chairs and a bench on the deck.On occasion, wild turkeys saunter through our grounds and into the adjoining woods. Pets are welcome, with a deposit. No smoking please. Ashevile airport and Biltmore Estates within 15 minutes, and downtown Asheville 20 minutes away.

Activities and Attractions: The special ambience of Asheville providing unique shopping opportunities, fantastic restaurants, galleries, craft shows, and farmer's markets. Plus a return to nature with the Blue Ridge Parkway, Hiking, Biking, White Water Rafting, Fishing, and Hunting. Athletic activities abound with venues for Golf (many many beautiful courses),Tennis,Horse Back Riding,Boating, Swimming, and Skiing. Time for culture with live theater, music festivals, museums, Biltmore Village,and historic Grove Park Inn.

Great Accomodations!

We truly enjoyed staying here. There was 11 people in our party and the house provided more than enough room for everyone to be together or separate. The house is located within minutes of everything. I highly recommend this location. We are already planning for next year.

Spectacular views-great retreat

I hosted my family for Christmas in 2008 in this wonderful, spacious and comfortable home. The owners are gracious and accomodating. It has everything you need without excessive clutter for gathering and is conveniently located just minutes from Biltmore Village and Asheville. The views of Asheville and the mountains are panoramic and stectacular as you are truly in the treetops. One cautionary note is that walking near and around the house is vertical as you are on the top of a mountain so its a little challenging for anyone disabled. I would recommend it highly.

Great family get together

We found this to be a great place for our family to spend a long holiday.
The description was accurate and we found the home to be in as great a condition as described. Little extras in way of amenities, and lots of linens and blankets. The location is convenient to the NC Arboretum, Blue Ridge Parkway and Biltmore Estate. We had a marvelous meal at Blake House nearby. The property is not that hard to find even though it is tucked away on a hillside. We even took our pet! The views really are incredible.

Treetops - the perfect retreat

Our Sisters' Weekend (for 6 of us) was wonderful due in large part to the Treetops property. The house is large, inviting, and impeccably clean. The owners were in touch before we arrived with details about the area and the house. We were only sorry we were there in the fall and the evenings were cool -- we would have spent a lot more time on the great balcony and porch. The computer was handy for printing out boarding passes and checking local attractions. There are 2 TVs, 2 1/2 baths, 4 bedrooms and a downstairs TV room. The living room/dining and kitchen area was great for sitting around together, but there was plenty of room to split up and spend time in smaller groups or alone. We all agreed we would recommend this place to others without reservation.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers
