Casita Bananaluna This charming Spanish Colonial guest house, located on Playa Flamingo's exclusive North Ridge, is but part of our large private estate on Costa Rica's gorgeous 'Gold Coast'. The house has an incredible view, with astounding bird's eye perspective of the Pacific Ocean, the Catalina Islands, and Playa Flamingo below. There are very few vacation rentals (if any) of this class available at any price in this area. Semi-attached to our larger home, this guest house has 2 bedrooms: one king size bed in the master bedroom & two double beds in second bedroom- It also has 2 bathrooms, a nicely tiled and fully equipped kitchen, living/dining room, and porch facing the Pacific Ocean. There is a modern A/C unit and ceiling fan in each bedroom and the living/dining room. Linens included. Restaurants nearby.

Car: not necessary
Flamingo has great access to all major roads and is a little over an hour from Liberia International Airport (LIR). Central to all major Gold Coast beach destinations and surf breaks, Flamingo is a classier hideaway known for its upscale homes, uncrowded pristine white sand beach and breathtaking sunset views. It's not overdeveloped like Tamarindo has become, and the howler monkeys still cruise the tree trails that cross our property. For surfers there is a powerful left point break that works great when the swell gets big. There are a good number of quality bars and restaurants within walking distance and on neighboring beaches Potrero and Brasilito (5-10 min drive). Good groceries and gifts can also be obtained there too. Tamarindo is an easy, fully paved, 25 min drive if you want to join the hustle and bustle, party down, or go shopping for souvenirs (we prefer the private peace and tranquility of the 'North Ridge').

A Home away from Home

My family and I spent a week at this wonderful location. Our Hosts could not have been more accommodating! A beautiful warm, ocean view with incredible sunsets will greet you every day. The accommodations are really large with air conditioning through out. Two large bedrooms gives a family of four some privacy. It was great to have a full kitchen, living room along with the poolside deck which gave all of us lots of flexibility during our day to day activities.
Playa Flamingo is minutes away and must be one of the cleanest beaches in all of Costa Rica. Lots of restaurants and activities are available right in the town and very close to Casita Bananaluna.
I highly recommend this location to anyone and you be assured we will return one day!

We have traveled the world from all 50 states to Europe, Asia, South America, Hawaii, etc...
We have taken our kids most places with us.
This house in Costa Rica was our familys' favorite vacation spot yet.
Tons of things to do, wonderful hosts, beautiful, beautiful location and house.
Always felt welcome and safe, house was very clean and upscale, view from the pool is to die for.
You can walk to the white sand beach, play with crabs in tide pools, walk to world class restaurants, close by is the jungle , many other beach towns, volcano natl parks.
We would certianly recommend it to young or old, adventurous or looking to relax by the ocean.
Anyone would feel comfortable there.
If you go , make sure to say hi to Lola the pig.....(ask the owners.)
We hope to go back.
