This charming three-bedroom cottage is located in the wonderful village of Seal Harbor on Mount Desert Island, Maine. Our home abuts Acadia National Park and is less than ½ mile from a public, sandy beach. Ride your bike down the road and pick up the carriage trails or continue on to the Jordan Pond House, less than 1.5 miles away. Fall asleep listening to Stanley Brook out the back windows. Our farm-style house features a covered porch with rockers, a back porch for grilling, hardwood floors, comfortable living room, dining room and full kitchen with breakfast bar. Upstairs has sleeping for six in three bedrooms: one with king bed, one with queen bed and one with two twins, and one bath with tub shower (Linens and towels provided). Some amenities include: gas grill, cable TV with DVD, wireless internet, telephone with unlimited long distance, fully supplied kitchen with coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher and lobster pot. Washer and dryer in basement.

Great Location on MDI

This house had the best-supplied kitchen of any house we've ever rented, was absolutely spotless, and very comfortable. If you want to spend a lot of time biking on the carriage roads, which are beautiful, you can't beat the location. For eating out, the best bet is a short trek by car or shuttle bus to Bar Harbor or one of the other nearby villages, though Jordan Pond House for a meal of tea and popovers is not to be missed.

Fabulous spot, especially for dog owners and trail hikers.
We're both and you can't beat this location. Minutes away from a gorgeous dog park and from the most
challenging trails on the island. Highly recommended.

The cottage was a perfect size and in a perfect location for us. We are a family of five and we love the Bar Harbor area but wanted a place that was away from the traffic congestion of Downtown Bar Harbor. This 3 bedroom cottage was exceptionally clean and had every imaginable amenity for a home away from home. Our family likes to bike and hike and mix eating in with eating out and this cottage created a perfect environment for us. There was plenty of room and we used the games, movies, basement for bike storage and everything in the kitchen. We were literally 1/4 mile from the carriage roads and nearly that close to the beach. Staying at this location gave us an opportunity to explore the rest of Mount Desert Island (North East and South East Harbors). All in all this was a perfect place to stay. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to explore Mount Desert Island and especially to those who like to be close to everything but able to get away from congestion when they want. There's nothing better for a family of 4-6. We will definitely go back!
