Beware of driveway!

The pictures do this rental justice, but it's what you don't see that makes the difference! I had rented a car, but ended up having to return it and scour the island for a Jeep instead. The driveway/road leading to the rental was substandard to the ones I've seen in third world countries. You don't stand a chance of making it unless you have an elevated 4WD vehicle, and if you don't have a sense of adventure, you won't want to even consider it. It is dirt, gravel, rock, boulder, windy, steep and difficult to navigate. I had to call the owner after the first day to figure out how to get back (it's a bit confusing.)
The actual house is charming, with great light, an open floor plan, and excellent view of Coral Bay. There is a nice large dining room table, plenty of extra seating, and a pretty well stocked kitchen. The downstairs has two bedrooms which were found a bit dirty (dead bugs and such.) We were planning on using the single bed in the kid's themed room, but didn't bother. The mattress was thin, with no protection of the bed springs it rested on (my dog would've chosen the floor over this.) The upstairs couch was far more comfortable.
The wind was pretty severe up there. It was necessary to close all windows and batten down the hatches at night. Each night experienced a violent rain storm with winds that blew open porch doors more than once.
Also, the internet connection did not work, and was never fixed while we were there.
Overall, we were able to make it work with some effort. My advice, don't bother unless you have a sense of adventure and are a good driver. If you're not, plan on leaving the house as minimally as possible so as not to endure the drive in too often.
