Private, brand new cedar chalet on the ridge with gorgeous view of mountains, sunrise, moonrise. Five miles from 18 hole golf, swimming, boating, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, canoeing. Some of the best fly fishing in the East! Eight miles to town for mineral baths, spa, shopping and dining. 10 miles to C & O Canal Bike Rail Trail. Historic sites and skiing nearby. Hunting in season. Walk to creeks. Kayaks and canoe available. Pool table and Table Tennis in rec room. Plenty of clear area for outside sports and plenty of trees for shade. Two Master Suites -- one with jacuzzi tub and separate shower, the other Master Suite is in the loft with soaker tub, private balcony and telescope for viewing the night sky. Three additional bedrooms and two additional baths. A total of five bedrooms and four full baths. Mini-bar in rec room and hot tub on the stone patio. Huge deck and screened porch. Ceiling fans and air-conditioning throughout the house.

Only 7 homes on the ridge -- near but not on top of you. Not in a development. Hike to Sleepy Creek and old hunter's cabin. Beautiful and comfortable in all seasons.

Canoe and two kayaks on property for canoing on the nearby Cacapon River or Potomac River. Fresh water swimming in season & paddle boating 5 miles away at Cacapon State Park along with horseback riding and beautiful 18 hole golf course. Although there is no swimming pool on property, there is a community swimming pool 8 miles away in the quaint town of Berkeley Springs. The water comes from the springs of the mountains into the stone waterbeds including George Washington's bath tub. Plenty of wildlife on property including deer, owls, hawks flying over the ridge and of course night sky viewing. Visit the Morgan County Observatory just over the next ridge.

One can bike to the State Park at Fort Frederick which was used for various purposes between the French & Indian and the Civil Wars. The Westen Maryland Scenic Railroad is less than an hour away and provides all ages an exciting ride through the mountains on an old fashioned steam powered train. Looking for Autumn foliage? Berkeley Springs is a great place to hop onto the National Scenic Byway, part of the George Washington Heritage Trail

We loved this place there were three couples in our group so we all had our own king size bedroom and bathroom. The view was great from the deck and the hot tub, each day we were there the deer would come and feed in the side yard. The trail that is on the property is a great little hike. The place was very clean and well maintained,every thing was as advertised. It is a very private location. We have all stayed at other cabins and homes in several states and we all agreed this was one of the top picks out of all of them and we even missed the peak fall colors but the wonderful chalet made up for that. We all feel you can not go wrong if you book a vacation or a weekend at this lovely location which is close to a lot of nice attractions. Berkeley Springs is a nice place to spend a day, we also visited the paw paw tunnel and had lunch at the Panorama cafe. Shepherdstown was a great place to visit if you go be sure to have lunch at the pub in the middle of town the people there were great and we really liked the outdoor patio. So if you are looking for a great place to spend time with friends or family(kids would like this place also) look no more this place is it. Thank-You Jackie From Bob Sue Paul Amy Frank and Janelle.

Fantastic Family Gathering Place

Our large group of 13 had a fantastic, week-long vacation at this wonderful chalet! I highly recommend this home! It was spacious, modern, comfortable, very clean, well designed for children & seniors, and loaded with activities to keep everyone busy & happy from my three & five year old children to my teenaged nephews. The house has wonderful gathering areas on the screened-in porch or wrap-around deck & paver patio below, a hot tub, pool table/ping pong, and fire pit. The property is very private, yet only a 10 minute drive to Cacapon State Park for golfing, swimming, paddle boating, horseback riding or hiking. The nearby town of Berkeley Springs was charming with a nice touch of history thrown in for our July 4th getaway. The owner was very attentive and helpful, even scheduling a private observatory outing for our group. You can't go wrong with this home rental! Its a great family getaway.

A great way to ring in the New Year!

Every year a group of friends and I stay at a cabin in Berkley Springs for New Years. We have stayed in a number of other cabins (all lovely) but this was by far everyone's favorite!
The chalet is beautifully decorated, spacious without losing it's cozy feeling and has a great kitchen which is wonderful if you are cooking for a group.

We had a tremendous time and loved everything from the comfy beds and ping pong to hiking down ridges and star gazing in the hot tub.

If you are looking for an exceptional place for your next stay I can't recommend this spot enough!

We'll be back for sure.

Excellent weekend !

What a great time! Even in early December, when it was really too cold to be out for long and use the excellent outside facilities, we had a great family get-together and delayed Thanksgiving.
There was plenty of room for the eight of us; each couple basically had a private bath, and we made good use of the brand-new kitchen, the game room and the electronics. We had one great night of stargazing over the weekend, and enjoyed visiting Berkeley Springs and Hancock, MD, including the C&O canal. Mostly we just cooked, ate, and enjoyed each other's company, with the spectacular views in the background and occasional walks down toward the hollow.
Thanks again for your help and excellent preparations. We'll be back in warmer weather or snow season!

BEST VACATION HOME WE'VE EVER RENTED!

My extended family rented this home in August for a weekend get together. This was the nicest home we have ever rented in any location! The home is exceptionally clean and is decorated in Pottery Barn decor. Alot of thought and care went into planning this rental home. The views and quiet location are perfect yet we were 5 minutes from the State park and 10 minutes to the town center. The kids enjoyed the ping pong/pool table and the adults loved the tiki bar, large deck and screened porch. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all woke up feeling great! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking or you can choose to go into town for great meals at the many restaurants. The family went horseback riding in the State Park and our kids still talk about how much fun it was. We can't wait to go back to Berkeley Springs and highly recommend this property!
