This adorable home is situated in the heart of Central Austin, nestled in the highly coveted Allandale neighborhood on a lovely tree-lined street. Enjoy the sights of the City or a busy day at work and come home to relax on the sun porch. Or, you could unwind on the deck sitting under the trees. If you need to work from the house, we offer a convenient separate work area with WiFi and unlimited no-cost long distance. Just bring your computer, it's plug and play. There are new hardwood floors throughout the house & a fabulous new kitchen with granite counters, mosaic tile and stainless appliances. The decor of the house has an Asian feel complemented with designer lighting and both modern and traditional influences. The house is very bright with beautiful windows and Pottery Barn drapes. The entrance hall opens to the computer area and dining room. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen and living area with 42' HD plasma TV are very open while the bedrooms offer complete privacy.

  • The large Zen bedrom has a fabulous platform king bed with hotel-quality linens. The bedroom sitting area is complemented with Oriental bamboo rug and Oriental furnishings. The traditional bedroom has a four poster queen bed, down comforter, quilt with luxury shams and the owner's 100+ year old hand tatted bed covering. A round marble-top antique bed table and antique Queen Ann chest of drawers complete the bed-and-breakfast feel. The third bedroom can also be a second TV room. The mission style sofa is a queen size fold-out bed. The hardwood floors, hand-crafted batik wall coverings, and World Market rug and pillows create a very warm, inviting room. Also available are pack and plays for babies or toddlers. The house has very nice inflatable mattresses for an extra large group.

The Park has a swimming pool with lap swim lanes and several diving boards plus a children's wading pool, lighted tennis courts, basketball court, fishing pond, children's playground, and baseball field. If you're into shopping, the house is only five minutes from The Domain and the Arboretum. Enjoy the Austin live music venues on 6th St, the Warehouse District, Esther's Follies, One World Theater, Bass Hall, Zach Scott Theater and more. The neighborhood also offers famed Dallas Nightclub, Slick Willy's Pool Hall, Trudy's, Sherlock's Pub. A few of the local Allendale restaurants include Fonda San Miguel, Mirabelle, Sampaio's, Ichiban, Enchiladas Y Mas, Amy's Ice Cream.

Looking for the best barbeque, Austin offers County Line, Saltlick, Rudy's, Sam's. Outside adventures can be found at Barton Springs and a short trip outside of Austin at Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool, Enchanted Rock, Lake Travis. This property was a great location. We had several of our in-laws staying here while we stayed at another property. They raved about the sun room and setting and reading in the morning. The house is well maintained and it was very comfortable for a week stay. I would very much recommend your visit to include this house.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Hill House Allandale. We rented it for a family reunion and it provided a wonderful setting for us to gather. The sunroom was great for morning coffee. Cindy, the owner, was most accommodating. We will definitely rent this house, again, in a future visit to Austin.

The house is just GREAT!! I really recommend it. It is beautiful and clean. You have everything you need for a good vacation within minutes (restaurants, parks, shopping malls, etc). My four daughters enjoyed the house as much as we did. Thank you Cindy.

We evacuated to Austin for Hurricane Gustav. It has to be the most wonderful place and wonderful people. We were made to feel right at home. We traveled with three small children and Cindy had a high chair, pack and play, toys. The children felt right at home. The glassed in patio was great for morning coffee. I would highly recommend this to anyone, just don't use it when i need to use it. I will use it again. We go to Austin for sports. You cannot make a mistake by using this vacation rental. Can't wait to see the new kitchen. They started working on it the day after we went home from Gustav.

We found our stay at the Allandale house very enjoyable. It has all the modern conveniences that you would hope to find in a vacation home. The Allandale area is one of the best locations for visiting Austin, as you are only minutes to all of the amenities that Austin has to offer.
