Casa Cumbre is a single storey villa, with high vaulted, beamed ceilings, wooden doors and window shutters. The property is our second home and its furnishings reflect this. The villa is supplied with water and electricity. Bottled gas is used for cooking, and for two portable gas heaters. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, with plenty of mod cons including a cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washing machine. There is a main bathroom off the hallway, complete with full-size bath, separate shower, toilet and basin. The double bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite with shower, toilet and basin. The twin bedroom has two 3’ single beds. Both bedrooms are fitted with wardrobes and chest of drawers. There is an outside terrace and the 6m x 4m pool can be found down a few steps in the landscaped, mature gardens. The pool area is walled and gated, with a covered pergola to provide some shade if needed, complete with table, sun loungers and chairs.

Canillas de Aceituno lies 50 kms east of Malaga and 25 kms from the coast at Torre del Mar and has a population of 2,800. The town is situated on the scenic Mudejar Route, at 645 metres altitude in the foothills of the Sierra Tejada mountain range, on the highest mountain in Axarquia, La Maroma which reaches 2,080 metres. Canillas is the ideal base for walking and exploring. The natural spring from the mountain attracts people from far away due to a belief that if the pure water is drunk, illness is prevented. There are many shops in the village, including two banks, post office, art gallery, various mini supermarkets, butcher, pharmacy and a DIY shop. For eating in the village, there are 3 main restaurants; The Sociedad, Bodega and Brensons. There are various other bars for drinks, tapas or a simple meal. Lake Vinuela is a short drive away, providing plenty of activities in and around the lake.

Notes: Changeover day is flexible. The lounge seats 4 people comfortably, with a wood-burning fireplace. It has a TV/Video and multi-region DVD player, with a selection of family movies on either media. A digital satellite receiver has been added to complement the existing TV system. All bedrooms are well furnished with wardrobes and drawers, each have electric storage heaters if needed. There are electric towel rail heaters in the en-suite and main bathroom. All bed linen and towels are provided, just remember to bring your own beach/swimming towels. The covered terrace has sun awnings and a cane table with four chairs. The pool is maintained on a weekly basis by one of our neighbours. Part of the gardens are fenced and gated, including the driveway. There is ample parking available. There are two golf courses within 20 minute drive - more information on request. There are air conditioning units in both lounge and master bedroom. They can cool, heat or humidify.

Booking Conditions: A deposit of 25% of the property rental must be paid on booking, which is non-refundable. The balance must be received eight weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. A security deposit of £75 / €100 is paid with the balance. The rental price includes all gas, electricity and water used. All linen and towels are provided, except beach/swimming towels. The swimming pool is available for use, but at your own risk and children must be supervised at all times. The property is available after 4.00 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure Cancellation refunds: up to 8 weeks - no cancellation charge 4-8 weeks - 50% of rate refunded 2-4 weeks - 25% of rate refunded Less than 2 weeks - no refund

Just returned from Casa Cumbre it ticked all the boxes for us, peace and quiet, fab views, great pool, comfy villa, well maintained plenty of information on possible activities and local interest.

We would certainly recommend the property to friends
