Our romantic 'A-frame house' offers cosy warmth, especially in the winter, through a large, round tiled stove with wooden bench. In the ground floor, there is a living room with seating unit and separate dinette as well as a kitchenette. 2 bedrooms and shower/WC are located in the first floor. Our house has a south facing balcony. Pond and fountain and an outdoor fireplace. Here, you have the opportunity to relax on the available couch. A table with 4 seats is made available for the breakfast or the barbecue.

Further Details: The swimming pool is an unheated outdoors pool with a diameter of 6 m and a water depth of 1.20 m. The bedroom with the south facing balcony has 2 single beds of 2 m, the 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds of 1.80 m. The first floor can be reached through a cat ladder (so-called samba staircase) (not suited for people with strong impaired mobility). Unfortunately, pets are not allowed because of hygienic reasons.

Wine Information: You can reach the wine-growing region of the Ahr with its beautiful red wine- hiking trail within 45 minutes. The Rhine in Bonn or Cologne can also be reached in 45 minutes and the Moselle can be reached in 1.5 hours.

Sport Information : Sledge track, golf course and tennis courts can be reached in 5-10 minutes. You can reach the gate to the nature park Eifel newly opened in 01.01.2004 with its nature left trails in 20 minutes. Guided tours by trained rangers are also conducted here. The well-known Vogelsang castle lies in the midst of this region. You can reach the adventure pool Eifel-Therme Zikkurat newly built in 2005 in 15 minutes.

Ski: The ski-region of Hollerath and Undenbreth is at a distance of 45 minutes.

Golf: The Burg-Zievel golf club is at a distance of 10 minutes. Good ambience for golfers on the 18-hole-golf course the Burg-Zievel in Satzvey. Beautiful grounds around the Burg. Information at Tel.: 02256/1651. Another golf course is located in Bad-Münstereifel-Eschweiler (approx 15 minutes travel time).

Other Activities: summer toboggan-run, golf and tennis 5 - 10 minutes

Romatik, Ruhe und Natur pur im Eulennest

Das Ferienhaus war wie beschrieben. Wenn mann Ruhe und Natur liebt ist man im Eulennest genau richtig. Auch unsere Kinder (3 und 7 Jahre) haben sich pudelwohl gefühlt und fanden das Planschen im Pool, sowie die nahen Tierparks toll.

Genügend Flyer zur Freizeitgestaltung sind im Eulennest zu finden.

Vielen Dank an die netten Vermieter, die uns sehr gut betreut haben!

Dieses Feriendomizil ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Abschalten und Auftanken im Eulennest

Die Beschreibung des Ferienhauses auf dieser Seite stimmt genau: das Häuschen ist urgemütlich eingerichtet, alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Es ist innen ganz in Holz gehalten, hier kommt eine richtige Blockhüttenstimmung auf, dazu der herrliche Kachelofen. Oben ein kleines aber voll ausgestattetes Bad mit Dusche, ein schöner Südbalkon, darunter im Erdgeschoss eine Veranda und gegenüberliegend auf der anderen Hausseite die Terrasse mit Liegemöglichkeiten, kleinem Teich und einem festen Grill. Und für verregnete Tage ein großes Spielesortiment, Fernsehen, Radio und viel Prospektmaterial und Karten für die Erkundung der näheren und weiteren Umgebung. Die Vermieter sind sehr zugänglich und freundlich und bieten jede Hilfe an. Was will man mehr...
Schaut man aus den Fenstern fühlt man sich wie tief in einem Wald, bestens geeignet zum totalen Abschalten und Relaxen.
Wir hatten während unseres Aufenthaltes neben wunderbaren Sonnentagen leider auch Regentage, aber die brennenden Holzscheite im Kamin haben für solch’ geborgene herrliche Atmosphäre gesorgt, dass uns der Regen draussen gar nicht gestört hat. Auch unsere Kinder (7 und 13) haben diese urgemütliche Stimmung genossen.
Die unmittelbare Gegend ist voll mit zu Entdeckendem: ob das Radioteleskop Stockert, der römische Aquädukt, die Burg Satzvey mit Ritterspielen, die Burg Zievel mit Golfplatz oder der Rheinische Hochwildpark mit großem Kinderspielplatz, alle fünf Ziele sind in unmittelbarer Nähe zu entdecken (zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad). All die weiteren interessanten Ziele aufzulisten wäre zuviel, das soll jeder selbst entdecken.
Fazit: ein Urlaub im Eulennest lohnt sich und ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben jedenfalls direkt schon fürs nächste Jahr gebucht...

Urlaub abseits vom Massentourismus

Bereits seit mehreren Jahren besuchen wir mit unseren Kindern regelmäßig das Eulennest und begrüßen nun diese Möglichkeit, unserer großen Zufriedenheit Ausdruck zu verleihen.

Die Angaben im Online-Inserat entsprechen genau den vorgefundenen Bedingungen.

Die Ausstattung des Ferienhauses wirkt ausgesprochen gemütlich mit einem Hauch von Romantik, besonders hervorzuheben ist dabei der holzbefeuerte Kachelofen im geräumigen Wohnraum. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt.

Die Betreuung durch die Vermieter ist hervorragend, anstehende Probleme werden umgehend beseitigt.

Wer Wanderungen in abwechslungsreicher Natur und erholsame Ruhe abseits vom Massentourismus schätzt, der ist hier genau richtig. Trotzdem ist man mit dem Auto schnell bei vielen interessanten Angeboten der näheren Umgebung, so dass es auch Kindern nicht langweilig wird. Hierzu liegen im Ferienhaus stets aktuelle Informationen bereit.

Und hat man mal keine Lust selber zu kochen, findet man in einem der umliegenden Orte immer ein nettes Restaurant.

Von uns deshalb die uneingeschränkte Empfehlung für das Eulennest!

Eulennest

Das Eulennest war wie im Inserat beschrieben. Die Ausstattung war toll und es war alles bestens gepflegt. Auch unsere Kinder (14 und 11 Jahre) waren total begeistert. Vor allem der Pool ist bei allen sehr gut angekommen. Es macht einfach Spaß, diesen bei gutem Wetter zu nutzen. Am Abend konnte man ungestört auf der schönen Terrasse entspannen.

Die Vermieter haben sich wirklich um alles gekümmert und man konnte sich mit jedem Problem an sie wenden.
Nochmals danke für alles.

Wer Ruhe, Erholung und Entspannung sucht ist also im Eulennest genau richtig.

Wir würden dieses schöne Ferienhäuschen auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Im Eulennest selbst sind genügend Flyer und Prospekte für die Freizeitgestaltung vorhanden. Da wird es sicher keinem langweilig.
Phantasialand ist in ca. 30 Minuten leicht mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Nach Köln haben wir die Bahn benutzt. Genügend Bahnverbindungen von Mechernich nach Köln sind vorhanden.
Außerdem kann man in der näheren Umgebung noch so manches nutzen, so z. B. Minigolf, Rodelbahn, Freizeitbad.
Zum Rursee fährt man ca. auch so 30 Minuten, dort kann man mit Kindern auch toll baden.
Auch der Nürburgring ist mit dem Auto leicht machbar (Fahrzeit ca. knapp 1 Stunde).
