All-Inclusive Option:
The All-inclusive option provides a cook and maid to serve you meals in the Villa every day, at the cost of $50.00 per day per person, with a minimum of four guests, and daily maid service. You can choose to have dinner out every other night, or on whatever schedule you make. For breakfast and lunch only, the cost is $25 pp. Soft drinks, tea and coffee included. We will also arrange transportation if you do not rent a car. In-town trips are $10, each way--to the beach or a local restaurant. A trip to Playa del Coco is $20. Other destinations are dependent on time and distance, and can be negotiated directly with our concierge. The trips are in a 12 passenger air-conditioned van, owned and operated by Bernal Mata, the 'best tour guide in Costa Rica'.
Bernal will also offer you tours of the country-volcanoes, the cloud forest, whitewater rafting, sight-seeing, and so forth- all at a fraction of the cost at a high-priced resort.
Location, location, location:
There are many vacation villas for rent in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Experienced travelers know that Playa Hermosa is the best destination in Costa Rica. It has none of the commercialism found in Tamarindo or Playa del Coco. The beach is spectacular. The restaurants are first rate, but not expensive. Except for the major holidays the town is very quiet and it is always safe. Yet is is only 20 minutes from the airport, and within easy reach of the main tourist destinations. It is Papagayo at a fraction of the cost.
Within Hermosa, there is no better location. Before renting, ask how far is the beach? How far up the mountain is the house? There are many villas for rent that are on top of the mountain- more than a mile and long, long walk back from the beach. Our villas are just off the main road, and just high enough to get a beautiful ocean view. Two small supermarkets are just 200 yards away.
Personal service:
Yes, this villa is beautiful, affordable and convenient. But our guests rave about the personal service they get from our local hosts-- Charlie and Sue, who live just below the villas and will attend to whatever you need, and Bernal Mata, the tour guide and concierge, and Lillie Gonzalez, the business manager. Bernal will provide you the most memorable tours you have ever taken. He seems to know everyone in Costa Rica. Charlie will come by every morning to make sure the pool is clean and everything is good in the villa. Sue will cook you a Central American dinner on the parilla ( BBQ) if you want. Lillie will arrange a rental car to be brought to your door. This is a small operation in size, but not in service.
Golf:
There is a nice public golf course five minutes from the villa, 'Papagayo Golf Course'. Bernal will take you there, and , if you want, play with you. If you prefer, he will just give you directions.
