This lovely cottage is in the Anne of Green Gables region of Prince Edward Island (PEI). It is ideal for a family of up to six. The large tree shaded yard makes a wonderful playground. Only a farm house occupied by an elderly couple who love the sounds of children is near. Peace, privacy and safety are abundant. A beautiful secluded beach is just five minutes away. Chrissydale Cottage is near a beautiful secluded beach at Cousin's Shore . Also, the beach is free, whereas the National Park beach at Cavendish costs $17 a day. Excellent restaurants are a short drive away. And New London Bay with its fishing and lobster fleet is ten minutes away. Privacy, peacefulness, and pastoral beauty are important features of the Chrissydale site. A spacious, tree shaded yard is great for family play. The large deck, with a 'million dollar view' into the church steeple community of Long River, is ideal for lounging with your morning coffee and for barbeques (propane grill provided). Many diverse family entertainment attractions, excellent golfing, and tennis courts are nearby. For a peaceful, relaxed visit to one of the world's most beautiful islands, this is the perfect spot.

Convenient Location: Chrissydale Cottage is located in the heart of the island, convenient to the most desirable north shore beaches, to the Anne of Green Gables historical sites, to shopping, golf, fishing and family entertainment. Set back a third of a mile from the road in a wooded site, it is also free from road noise and the risk of a child running into traffic. There is considerable peace and privacy.

Seclusion, peace and privacy: Only Chrissydale Cottage and a Victorian farm house are one this site, unlike the cluster cottages found in many places on the island. The caretakers of the cottage, Ann and Ted Moorhead, spend the summer in the farm house, so they are available for any needs, but are unobtrusive. The cottage is across the driveway from the farm house, and has its own tree shaded yard with ample space for family activities.

Clean and Comfortable: Chrissydale is furnished comfortably and is maintained for cleanliness and maximum livability. The spacious rear deck is also well furnished for relaxed living.

Property is well described on the web-site.
Clean, well maintained, located away from traffic. Very quiet, convenient, equipped with all necessary amenities.
Easy to reach and close distance from a nice non-crowded beach, stores, restaurants. Ideal for family rental.
Helpful and friendly owners are next door to answer visitors questions.
Good opportunity to spend wonderful vacations on PEI at very reasonable price.

We were so impressed with the accommodations at Chrissydale that we are planning to return year after year to the same spot. It was so well equipped with all the comforts of home, from beach toys for the kids to down filled pillows. It was so peaceful and quiet, close enough to all the tourist attractions but far enough away that you felt like you were living in a place that had been untouched for 100 years. We all agreed that we felt as though we were staying at Green Gables. I can't wait to go back!!

This was our first visit to PEI and we couldn't have found a better base from which to explore the island, most of which is within an easy drive. Our family of four (inc a 12 and 14 year old) immediately felt at home in Chrissydale - it is exactly as described in the details; there was everything we could need for our stay and Ann and Ted were perfect hosts. The cottage is ideal for couples and families seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday and is well situated for visiting the many "Anne"-inspired attractions in the area. There are also quiet sandy beaches only a short drive away. Amongst the places we visited were North Cape, Cavendish (inc beach, dunes trail, boardwalk shops, Green Gables and Avonlea), Rustico, Charlottetown, Greenwich and Victoria-by-the-Sea. We spent two weeks here and are returning in 2008.
