Winter sport options:
The ski areas of Jenner, Götschen, Roßfeld and Hochschwarzeck offer everyone – beginners and experts – special winter fun. The skie region in Berchtesgaden is guaranteed snow from the middle of December until the end of March. In addition to alpine sport options, there are also a lot of cross country trails, sledding and toboggan runs, an indoor ice rink and the Watzmann thermal springs – a modern fun-and recreation park, along with infinite options for a drink after skiing.
Winter sun not only for skiiers:
Walk in the kingdom of the snow king! The winter leads us with curling on flat ice and drives us with sleds. After all, Berchtesgaden is home to the world-famous lugist Georg Hackl and the location of the world championships for luging and bobsledding. Watch the fastest tubers or become one yourself. The worlds best snowboarders also come here and this winter we will have the world championships. More than 60 kilometers of slopes, ice skating rinks – the winter fun land is always open. The Berghof Punzenlehen**** is located 720m above sea level and is almost easy to reach via well kept streets. In exceptional circumstances, you will need winter snow chains. Sleds are available to our guests free of charge.
Ski:
That is last week’s news: five ski areas with individual layouts, slopes guaranteed with snow, fast descents and safe practice slopes, a new snowboarding paradise in Götschen with a flood-lit area and half pipe, and cozy lodges, ski and snow board schools. Berchtesgaden is also perfect for those who want to spend time away from the slopes. There are more than 60 kilometers of trails, ice rinks and numerous luge runs. Berghof Punzenlehen is located in the center of all activities at an elevation of 720m. You can get to all of the skiing areas within a few minutes drive. For hikers that “only” want to breathe in the good air, there are 120 km of plowed hiking paths.
Golf:
On Obersalzberg, 5 km from our house, there is a golf facility with an incomparable panoramic view of the Berchtesgaden mountain world. Golf enthusiasts can play on the 9 hole course on the Berchtesgaden golf club at an elevation of 1000 meters. The golf course in Berchtesgaden combines stunning landscape with a unique panorama. Americans named the area “Sky Top” – today, it is the highest elevated golf course in Germany. The 9 courses and recreation program are just as exciting as the environment.
