Photos and Description of this Upper East Side holiday house 5 half-floor suites & two full-floor [3-BR] Suites. 7 private en-suite bathrooms

Tucked away on a beautiful tree-lined street, 1871 House is a unique place to stay in Manhattan. The inn is located in a classic brownstone on east 62nd Street, between Park & Lexington Avenues. The pretty shuttered townhouse is in a quiet location close to Central Park. Seven spacious rooms offer high ceilings, fireplaces, four-poster beds covered by quilts, marble-topped dressers and lace-curtained windows. Fireplace mantles, moldings around windows and high ceilings have been carefully preserved. All give the place an elegant B&B feel, as do the antiques scattered throughout. Rooms are modernly enough appointed that you won't feel stuck in the 19th century. Each room is quite large, cozy & country furnished. The inn can accommodate 2-3 persons in each of its double rooms and 3-5 persons in the larger full floor suites. We are unable to accommodate groups larger than 10-12 persons.
