Brewster holiday house

We rented the "House on Holly" for a week in July...we arrived to a spotless house, beautifully decorated with everything we could possibly want or need for a perfect beach vacation. Our group consisted of 5 adults and 4 children under 8 yrs of age. There was plenty of room for everyone with the opportunity to "escape" from each other if needed. Each bedroom has it's own TV and air conditioner so it was very comfortable. The living room was spacious enough for all of us to sit in the late evening and watch the children do their puzzles and watch movies. The kitchen was well supplied with gorgeous cookware and utensils. We were traveling with a chef, so his vote of approval says a lot! The landscaping was beautiful with many gorgeous flowers and flowering bushes. The owners were wonderful to work with and cared deeply about our comfort and the success of our vacation. They provided us with a homemade book of information including local attractions, restaurants, and events with coupons included for many of those items. I can't say enough about the house - the pictures don't do it justice. It is very roomy and comfortable. We went on a Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch which was one of the highlights of our trip. We saw approx 15 whales; many of them surfaced and opened their mouths and turned on their sides. It was quite a show!! We took the children to see the puppet show at the local theater and to the Museum of Natural History in Brewster. We enjoyed a morning story hour at the Brewster Ladies' Library where the children heard stories, sang songs, and did a craft project. All enjoyable events while still going to the beach every single day! We went to the bay side some days and the ocean side others. Both were enjoyable in different ways - the bay side was wonderful for hunting crabs, shrimp and digging clams at low tide and swimming for the small children at high tide (we went to Saints Landing and Paine's Creek Beaches most days). The ocean side was fun for the kids as they spent the whole day running in and out of the waves (we went to Marconi Beach and Nausset Beach). We enjoyed a walk through Provincetown and plan to spend more time there next year. Speaking of next year, we plan to return to this house every year for a week in the summer...the whole family agrees. We've taken many vacations together, but this was the best by far with grandparents, children and grandchildren all having a wonderful time. See you next year!!!!!
