Very quiet and peaceful, near free circular bus stop(Le Fountaine) can catch it from Fedey station.
The trains to Aigle run hourly and connect with this bus for most of the day.We only used a taxi on arrival when we were not sure where the chalet was.
The chalet has amazing views from the front over the valley to as far as Mont Blanc and Les Diablarets.Even when the rain clouds rolled in it was still lovely - oh- the smell of fresh air.
Chalet is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It is veryy traditional and we could not work out why the chalet only sleeps 3 and seats 6 but has enough crockery and cutlery to feed the 5000!
There is enough to ensure you only have to run the dishwasher once every few days.Watch out as they provide bedlinen but not towels.Ralph speaks reasonable English and his wife some French, we got by though.
The village is about 20 mins walk away and there are about 5 restaurants to choose from. Also a couple of supermarkets and gift shops .
There are great walks from your doorstep, also can get the chair lift and walk from there. The mountain huts were mostly open when we were there(Sept) ,If the weather is nice you can see Lake Geneva from the top.
We took the train to Montreux and went to Chateau Chillon which was beautiful.
We just loved everything about the place and were quite sad to leave after the week was up.
