First Trip To Savannah - We'll Be Back, Joe.

The large guest suite is perfect for couple. It is well maintained, tastefully decorated, and opens directly into the enclosed beautifully-landscaped courtyard.

We were directly across from Forsyth Park, and walked everywhere we went. We tend to utilize local foodstores & picnic throughout the day. So, having a Kroger market about 5-minutes (or less) away was very nice. (They also had a pretty decent wine selection.)

Based on online reviews, we went to Mrs. Wilkes for lunch. Good food & it was fun meeting and eating with folks we had never met before. For seafood, we chose Uncle Bubba's (I wished I had gotten the owners recommendations for seafood resturants, first.). Food was 'ok' - alot of cream-based stuff. Also, we're in our fifties, and we were about the youngest one there.

Thanks to the owners, we had a wonderful time in Savannah. A day did not go by without one or both of them asking us if we needed anything and hoping that we were enjoying their city.

We plan on returning next year and bringing our families and renting both the carriage house & hotel style room. We can only hope that they will come to enjoy Savannah as much as we did.

Due to location, the quaiIity of the property, and the owners, I would highly recommend this property.

Happy St. Pat's!

My husband and I stayed here for the St. Patrick's Day festivities. We found the owners to be accomodating and interested in ensuring we had a positive experience. Due to flight delays we arrived very early in the morning, and the owner willingly helped us get in and settled.

The room is fairly large and the microwave, frig, and sink we a welcome addition. We also liked the off the street parking. The location was appealing as it was across the street from Forsyth park which made walking easy. However, sometimes late at night we got a bit worried walking around in the area.

This room is located under the actual house so there is some noise from the owner who lives in the house. Also there was construction going on next door and they were often fairly noisy early in the morning. Of course, this was not something the owner could stop as it was not their property.

We also enjoyed the small courtyard which gave us a place to go when the room got small.

This was a great place for the price and if you just need a place to sleep and shower. If you were going to "hang out" in your room a bit - it might get a bit too small.

Additionally, I would suggest to the owner that they upgrade all linens and towels. They weren't bad but it was a distraction that could rememdy fairly easy.
