Rome holiday apartment

This place was a very pleasant surprise. Comfortable apartment, spacious bedrooms, nice neighborhood. Very close to metro station. And it is definitely pet friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We just returned from a wonderful time in Italy, with 3 nights spent at this apartment. The apartment is perfect for two couples, as our party had, or a family. The location is great. Just two blocks from the metro station, so we took the train from the Rome airport to the Termini station and then rode the metro to the Ottaviano/S.Pietro stop. Much less expensive than a cab and very easy. We used the metro to get all over Rome and just took a cab once.
The apartment was clean and the bedrooms are very large with large windows. There was heat and air-conditioning. The kitchen was small, but great for making breakfast each day before we left. The 1 bathroom was a nice size with a shower/tub. There was an elevator to get the luggage up (very helpful after a long flight). The neighborhood felt safe to walk through in the evening, close to the Vatican (just over ½ mile), but easy enough to get to the rest of Rome.
It would be helpful if the owner would have a house-book with information on what restaurants are good in the neighborhood, where the grocery store is located, how to use the washing machine (I still haven't figured out the European washing machines), but other than that the owner was so pleasant when we arrived and helpful with directions before we arrived. We would defiantly return to this apartment if visiting Rome again, which we hope we can do.
We did find that the Rome Walk Tours (found on-line) were excellent. Julia, from London, was our guide and the three tours we took, gave us so much info on Rome in the two and a half days we had there. Hope this is helpful to anyone considering this lovely apartment. Carolyn
