Come relax and get away in our recently built home surrounded by peaceful pastures and incredible scenery. We have all the comforts of home including our luxurious two person elevated bathtub with panoramic views. The house rests on 37 acres of private reserve where you will encounter primary growth forest, howler monkeys, quetzal, tapir, tropical turkeys, amazing variety of hummingbirds, armadillos, etc. as you travel upon the kilometers of trails that traverse through the jungle, streams, and natural springs. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and table settings for 10 people. A Washer and dryer, TV, VCR, DVD player with a several movie titles, and a substantial library of books are part of the many details which come to make your stay both comfortable and relaxing. Although these conveniences are available, the location and architecture of the home, the layout of the land lends to a complete disconnection from the normal rigors of life. Best deal in Costa Rica

Tomas, Thank you for allowing us to stay at Casa Shalom; it was wonderful! The only problem was that we didn't want to leave! What a blessing the weekend was for us. We enjoyed playing many of the games in the house with our children. My favorite part was just being able to get into the woods, to relax and read a book. My favorite place of all was the rancho in the forest, which was my prayer place for a couple of hours early each morning. It was fantastic! Cathy and I spent a lot of time on the trails, marveling at the birds and plant life. It was really cool getting to see the huge tapir tracks back there. The kids and I rode horses on Saturday, another great experience. Teresa and Gerardo were great. We enjoyed strawberries and fresh milk, thanks to Gerardo. It was the first time I'd had fresh milk since I was a kid. I don't know that I would change anything about your home. I came home feeling refreshed both physically and spiritually. I feel like my batteries have been recharged. Thanks so much for making it all possible.
