Ferries from Sorrento to Capri (35min), Amalfi (50min), Positano (30min); Roman excavations at Pompeii (1hr). Access to Naples via ferry from Sorrento port (1h15min) or train (1hr); train from Naples to Rome (3hr). Outdoor Activities: Sailing, windsurfing, beaches and swimming in sea, boating, snorkeling. Good walking on national footpath trails. Extremely hilly terrain makes cycling an option for only the most serious riders.
