Snowshoe Resort is a year-round vacation resort. Winter amenities include 60 slopes, two terrain parks, tubing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. The Village has a number of restaurants, shops, a kids’ entertainment zone, nightclub, and more. Summer season activities include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, paddle-boating, sporting clays, and Raven Golf Course, the #1 public access course in West Virginia. The Mountain Lodge is a Ski In/Ski Out complex ideally located right next to the Snowshoe Village and the slopes, and has its own private parking lot (free to Mountain Lodge guests). You’ll be 30 yards from the Ballhooter Lift and the Beginners’ Slope, all within the Basin. The indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, church, and general store are only a three minute walk from the room. Your room at the Mountain Lodge is also within walking distance of the Western Territory slopes and the shuttle to night skiing at Silver Creek, giving you outstanding access to all 60 slopes. On the ground floor you’ll find a relaxing lobby with wireless Internet access and a warm fireplace. You’ll have Auntie Pasta’s (Italian dining), a live comedy club, an exercise room, and a game room all in your own building. Mountain Lodge also offers a nightly movie night during the ski season.

Notes: You'll have a spacious two bedroom condo that easily sleeps six. The kitchen is well-stocked with dinnerware, utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, etc. so you can bring food to eat-in. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and the sleeper sofa has a new mattress. There are two full bathrooms, a TV in the master bedroom, and a TV/VCR/DVD player in the living room with videos. Other videos can be rented downstairs in the lobby or at Wildcat Provisions. Your condo will have a built-in ski rack, wainscoting, and a balcony.

Disappointed that condo had no fireplace and no view. It was extremely hot and we could not lower temperatures. Kitchen lacked adequate space (e.g. no place for silverware storage). Doors/closet in guest bedroom situated poorly. Long walk to ski in ski out. Slopes were terrific.

Condo was quite clean, adequately stocked, appears to be new carpeting. Convenient equipment/coat rack handy. Sofa bed uncomfortable but then they all are. Good location to slopes, though not slope view, housekeeping very pleasant and attentive to possible needs. Slopes here are worth the drive and the view on the way is spectacular!

The description of the place was pretty accurate, it was clean, stocked with all the kitchen things we needed except for a pizza cutter, and although the living room tv blew up the owner and staff replaced it right away. I would recommend this place to a friend but the rent could be a little cheaper considering snowshoe itself was renting the week out at only 800$ and some change. Most everything was closed for us except on the weekends because the main season hasn't really started yet but we did enjoy the pizza place and the slopes themselves were awesome.

Tim did an excellent job at preparing us for our trip. The descriptions were right on. We'd happily stay here again and recommend Tim's room to anyone.
