The Tranquility of Shangri-La

The beauty & tranquility of Shangri-La is indescribable other than you couldn't be closer to paradise unless you were standing in front of the Pearly Gates. 20 years ago you never could have told me that I would have the most amazing 40th birthday & birthday week ever but it happened, & for as long as we are able to we will be returning to Cat Island & Shangri-La.
We visited The Hermitage which was a magnificent site to see (don't miss the path to Father Jerome's cave & the Armbrister's plantation home ruins), but our visits to Maxwell Dean's "Lone-Some-Me Liquor Store", Grammy's "Cocktail's by the Sea", & Pat Rolle's "Cookie House" in Arthur's Town were the icings on my cake.
Not only can you count on this being the most idyllic & peaceful vacation of your lives by staying at Shangri-La, but the Cat Islanders will bring a wondrous mix of heart & soul to your visit. The owners Ginny & Rich couldn't be more friendly, helpful or accomodating & the new friends we came away with, Max, Pat, Grammy, Hugo, Michael & Brownie, will live in our hearts forever.
Support tourism on Cat Island by making your next vacation as beautiful, peaceful, relaxing & fun as ours.
