Il Berneto is an all purpose holiday villa with a swimming pool, on the border of Tuscany and Umbria: the ideal choice for your perfect holiday in the Italian countryside. It is built entirely of local stones and combines the typical Umbrian ambiance of wooden beamed ceilings,terracotta floors and stylish decor with modern amenities.It was formerly a farmhouse that was erected on the ruins of the ancient 'Castel Brandetto”, built in 1000 AD: the original walls of the castle can still be seen in the back of the house. In 2008 it was renovated. The property includes an expansive garden, the Aia, with a lovely grass field and beautiful trees, a brand new swimming pool, vineyards, fruit trees, firewood, and 1000 olive trees that produce traditional Umbrian olive oil every year. The swimming pool, 14 meters in length, is discretely placed a few meters from the house, just out of sight, enjoying complete privacy. Il Berneto can host up to 20 people.

Il Berneto sits about 500 meters altitude, in 300 acres of flowered fields and olive groves with woodlands, and has stunning views of the Umbrian hills.It is in the middle of a region full of incredible wonderful artistic cities!! On any given day, choose to shop the local markets, on another, enjoy a delicious Italian meal at your choice of one of the areas several fine restaurants, or take lovely trips to the main cities of the region, enjoy the Sagre (food festivals) taking place in the surrounding area, or spend a relaxing time at the hot spring (20 min by car). 3 min walking from the supermarket.

Additional information about rental rates

  • For smaller part of the house (up to 12 sleeps) the above prices will be: HS €4200, MS €3200,LS €2700
    A deposit of € 1000 is collected on arrival and will be refunded at departure, subject to inventory.
    Prices include the use of fine embroidered linens and towels, daily cleaning from Monday to Friday, swimming pool (from June to September), water, hot water, local calls, final cleaning. Electricity is included up to a reasonable use (over use will be charged at the end of your stay). Heating, when needed, is paid upon use. Non-refundable payment of 30% of total cost is due upon reservation, balance due 2 months before stay. In the event of booking cancellation 30 days before rental period, 50 % will be reimbursed. In the event of booking cancellation 29 to 10 days before rental period, 20% will be reimbursed. In the event of booking cancellation 9 days before rental period there will be no reimbursement.
  • The house may not be used by more persons than the maximum number indicated. No parties on the premises or external caterers unless by special arrangement with the management.
