This was the perfect place to get reconnected with one's self and loved ones, re-energizing the soul and getting re-aquainted with what is important and what motivates you.

The location positioned fronting the ocean with the backdrop of the Koolau mountain range was particularly tranquil in the early morning with a cup of coffee on the beach deck or in the evening as the sun settled and the green lushness of the mountain range soothed the end of a relaxing day. Perfect for a beer and watching the sun go down as the barbecue is warming up.

Accommodations are well kept and updated, very clear that investments has been made to collaberate with the over all experience.

An evening in the jacuzzi made for an outstanding close to a day and the overall experience really helped to realign and bring everything into perspective.

We left know that we were going to be able to get back into the game of everyday life know that we had already set our sights on coming back to this beach house in a year to get recharged again!

This place helps you get your senses back!

A father, mother and their two children (8 and 12) came to Hawaii with the hope of a holiday of a lifetime. We have not been disappointed! The Ocean, the beaches, the mountains, the waterfalls and the sightseeing have all been awesome. We stayed for two weeks at Hale Honu (July/August) and were very sorry when the time came for us to leave. Hale Honu is in a great position to access both the North Shore beaches and Honolulu to the south west - both being reasonably short (but scenic) drives from there. It is also a great place to just hang out. Hale Honu had the feel of being a secluded and well-kept secret in a quiet town. The snorkelling there was fascinating and we all had fun taking turns in the 2-man kayak. We shall never forget the magnificent sunrises or the panoramic views of the ocean and shoreline from Hale Honu. The house was tastefully decorated and very clean, tidy and well equipped. A collection of reference books on different aspects of Hawaii were very helpful and we also appreciated the collection of videos, CDs and DVDs.
The owners were very pleasant, helpful and quick to respond positively to any communication - before, during and after our visit - and our deposit was promptly repaid following our return home.
The sea around Hale Honu (unlike many famous North Shore beaches) is protected by a natural reef - which is likely to be an effective barrier against strong currents and predators throughout the day (since tidal activity resulted in differences in sea level of 2 feet or less between high and low tides), Even so, we chose not to snorkel at (or near) high tide or when the light was poor (early morning or evening) and have had no problems.
Our experience has been very positive and we would be very happy to return to Hale Honu in the future.

Soory Phil and Lisa we are to late!!! I'm so surprised with the last review... We stayed there 10 days in October and we have to say it was the most wonderful place we've ever been!!! The house was perfect, so clean!!! It's close to the road but it's so quiet that we could hear the waves all the time instead of the traffic...!!! We have lots of pictures and we miss it a lot. We're from Spain so I guess we'll never go back there... but our memories of Hawaii are amazing... and it is because of your house!!! Perfect location, perfect owners, perfect Honeymoon... THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!!
