Beautiful tastefully renovated new apartment in the famous 500 year old walled city of Cartagena. Walk to restaurants, cafes, museums, parks, the ocean, clubs and great shopping. The apartment has everything you need to feel at home including televisions in every room, cable TV, Internet access and clothes washer and dryer. The apartment also is air conditioned and has a full kitchen. Walk out the door of the apartment and wander for hours taking in the incredible colonial architecture or walk around the city on top of the ancient wall with a view of beautiful buildings, houses and the ocean.

Apartment in Cartagena

We were glad to find that although this apartment was situated on a busy street, very little noise could be heard once the apartment doors were shut. It was, however, very noisy in the studio apartment.
We were met on the doorstep and shown round the amenities by the friendly owner.
The equipment in the apartment was a little sparse, some washing up liquid and a drying cloth would have been helpful. A welcome pack with a few basics would also have been appreciated. Some of the china was chipped and there were not enough glasses or cutlery for four people.
Cartagena itself is well worth a visit, although in September the humidity was almost unbearable. Cool clothes and fan are necessary. The electric fans in the apartment living area were not enough, but the aircon in the bedrooms were a godsend.
Lots of good eating places and taxis were cheap and always available. A standard price within the city walls was a great idea.
I would recommend this apartment to friends, but Colombia is a long way away from the UK and a stopover on the way is a good idea.
