11 rue de la Huchette, Paris 5th, a prestigious address, and a beautiful apartment are the best definitions of this property. This 350 square-foot, one-bedroom apartment was completely renovated in January 2001. It's on the first floor of a very nice, 17th-century building with beams, stone, and a magnificent Venetian stairway. Spacious and comfortable, it's also very quiet, thanks to its own private courtyard. The apartment has been designed to afford maximum comfort. It features state-of-the-art, brand new decor, electrical appliances, and the best bed you could ever dream to sleep in -- the great Swedish Tempur Pedic mattress system. It's the best comfort for sleep and for sensitive spines. The apartment is located on one the nicest pedestrian streets in the Latin Quarter. It's just a three-minute walk to Notre Dame and the Seine River from the apartment. This apartment is very quiet, and perfect for resting and enjoying the most lively and typical area of Paris

The studio is centrally located, close to public transportation, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, churches, bakeries, and banks. There is a nice living room with a sofa bed, a separate bedroom with mezzanine (queen-size bed), and a single bed below for a fifth person. Amenities include a TV, VCR, stereo, telephone, and air-conditioning. The full kitchen features a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and washer/dryer. And there's a full bathroom. All linens, cookware, and kitchen utensils are included. There is a free cleaning service once per week. In the heart of 'Quartier Latin' and very near to St Germain des Pres, the Rue de la Huchette is a typical narrow and lively street, with book shops, cafes, and many restaurants. It leads to Quai St Michel. Two churches, Saint-Severin (1489-94) -- Gothic and humble, and Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre (1165 - 1220) -- which belongs to the transitional period between the Romanesque and the Gothic, rise from the tangle of streets.

The square in front of the church offers one of the finest views of Notre-Dame de Paris. Home since the 13th century of the Sorbonne, the Quarter has come to evoke bookish Bohemians scribbling works in-progress, in attic apartments and corner cafes. The apartment stands in the heart of the Latin Quarter -- four minutes from St Michel station and a three-minute walk from Notre Dame and the Seine River. We just returned from a lovely trip to Paris and couldn't be happier with the apartment at Rue de la Huchette. It was clean, comfortable and charming, and in the perfect location for first-time visitors (Just steps away from the Seine! We'll remember the amazing view of Notre Dame at night forever!). Thanks to Pascal and Christian for their hospitality and help in making our trip great.

A fine location, a fine, clean, well kept, and quiet apartment, close to everything - patisserie, Shakespeare and Company bookstore (great readings), easy food, and Notre Dame. And Fine, available hosts!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Huchette apartment. What an amazing location! We walked everywhere from the spot with our 5 and 7 year olds and they never complained.

We loved the scene outside our door with the restaurants and vendors, yet it was quiet in the apartment for resting. And our kids adored the loft in the apartment. They thought it was their special Paris clubhouse.

We had a great, great time and would recommend renting the place to family and friends.

I stayed for a month in the Huchette apartment in
January 2009. It's the second time that I've rented
from Pascal, and I can't say enough good things
about his listings. There are NO surprises and he's
great to work with. The Huchette apartment is in
the middle of everything. In about three minutes a
fast walker can be in Notre Dame, and you're only
about two minutes from the St. Michel Metro stop.
The apartment is comfortable, clean, and nicely
decorated. I was surprised to find free wifi and
telephone service back to the states, which wasn't
even advertised! There's also a Monoprix just a five
minute walk away, so you can easily save money by
eating in for one of your daily meals. I wish I were
back there now.

The Rue de la Huchette apartment is the find of the century! It is located dead center of everything- less than 100 yards from the Seine and 200 from Notre Dame. It is on a busy, hip, happening alley, but back in the apartment it is oh-so-quiet. You have comfortable beds for four (we stayed there with our 8 and 10-year old daughters for nine days), laundry in the apartment, a very workable kitchen, WiFim TV, the works. We were able to hit the Paris sights hard, then be home in time to relax and save money making meals. Pascal and Christian were VERY helpful with ideas and responses to our needs. Stay there- you won't regret it!
