Casa del Monte Sol is an historic 3100 square foot authentic adobe home located in the prestigious east side on Camino Del Monte Sol. This home has three bedrooms, two baths, bunk room and family room, plus a spacious outdoor living portal off the living room and kitchen. A short walk down Camino Del Monte Sol leads you to the world famous Canyon Road galleries. Continue on a scenic stroll to the Central Plaza or a walk up Camino Del Monte Sol to Museum Hill. In the nearby foothills there are excellent, well maintained hiking, biking and horse trails with breathtaking panoramic sunset views that overlook Santa Fe. After returning from a great day of activities, if you're hungry and feel like eating in, the kitchen is fully equipped to cook for a crowd, or better yet, there are endless restaurant choices throughout Santa Fe with some of the best within walking distance on Canyon Road. We also have free Wireless DSL High Speed Internet.

  • Bedroom one has an antique queen bed and with a courtyard view. Bedroom two also has a double bed with private entrance off the back patio. The bunk room has a extra long double bed on the lower and a single bed on the upper (great for kids or adults!). The spacious master bedroom has a king size bed, desk, private entrance, TV/DVD and a full newly remodeled bath. In addition, the living room features a fold-out queen sofa sleeper. All double beds are extra long!

Just amazing, and a bargain at the price.

My husband and I spent 4 nights here with 3 other couples, and we could not have asked for a more wonderful home-base for our vacation. The other reviews are right, the photos really do not do the house justice. I was surprised at how roomy it was, the 8 of us were not cramped at all. Beutifully decorated, very clean, the owners provided everything that we could want. It's about a 40 minute walk to the plaza, but Santa Fe is mostly a driving town anyway so if you want to make the most of your stay you should rent a car. My husband and I are alums of St. John's College and two of the couples we were travelling with had never been to the Southwest, and it was a perfect introduction to Santa Fe. We got up in the morning, drove to some favorite breakfast spots to get huevos rancheros, did some sightseeing and shopping, went for hikes once it cooled off in the afternoon, and then stayed up late barbequing, playing cards and sitting by the fireplace on the patio. It was totally relaxing, and we're already talking about another trip last year. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Perfect Retreat!

I just returned from a 7nt stay at this property, and cannot say enough good things about it! I stayed there with six friends and there was ample room for all of us. The house is absolutely stunning - beautifully decorated and landscaped - and the location is convenient to the Plaza and other activities in the city. The owners seem to have thought of everything to make their guests feel at home. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer! Thanks for a great vacation!
