The landscape: Still being located in Tuscany, Mengaccini looks like an Umbrian village. Also the landscape reminds you of Umbria, 'The Green Heart of Italy'. Soft hills, many woods and agriculture (oil, tobacco, sunflowers, etc).
Sightseeing: The central situation of this small village makes it possible to visit many famous towns and places. For example Siena, San Gimignano, Cortona, Rome or Florence. What about a day at Lago Trasimeno, the fourth-biggest lake in Italy with its beaches? Or what about visiting Tuoro where the famous Hannibal had his biggest fight?
