The interior:
The top floor has 3 bedrooms: 2 double rooms (access to one through the other) and 1 twin bed room in a tiny attic (suitable for children). All rooms have been tastefully and lovingly furnished. This house sleeps a maximum of 6 people and would provide spacious accommodation for 4. We have visited it on both sunny and dull days - it remains just as inviting whatever the time of year. We found it to be a lovely place for a family!
The exterior:
A small raised area near the entrance provides a delightful seated terrace, overgrown with grapevines - just large enough for 4 people to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Views of the old stone houses, opposite, which have been just as lovingly renovated as La Primavera. There is also a garden - the former vegetable garden which lies - as was often the case then - at a slight distance from the house. Go up the alley way, along a grassy path and after a few more steps you will reach a delightful garden. The garden is large enough to seat 6 people (2 sunloungers also available), with a wonderful view of the hilly landscape.
Open air thermal baths:
Just below the Rocca we find the town of Bagno Vignoni, with its beautiful open air thermal baths and next door, the spa center (enjoy a fango, massage etc.). San Quirico d´Orcia, roughly 7 km away, also has a large open air swimming pool. The surrounding countryside is full of surprising cultural treasures suitable for excursions. Particularly impressive and largely unknown is the ancient square in Bagno Vignoni: the houses are built around a central pool (!). The palazzi around the square look out onto steaming water. The hot springs at Bagni San Filippo are only around 20 km away: emerald green water collects in snow white limestone hollows - a rare experience!
