Lake Livingston is located in east Texas 80 miles north of Houston and 175 miles south east of Dallas, making it a great choise for a weekend getaway. Lake Livingston is the second largest lake completely within Texas borders. Seven miles wide at it's widest point and many times that in length.
Many varieties of fishing are available, there is fishing at the spillway, fishing at the source rivers, the creeks and the main body of the lake.
Any type of pleasure boating is possible including sailing.
The Indian Hills peninsula, where the cottage is located, is a very unique neighborhood, affording an Island like atmosphere for the happy residents and visitors. The lake will be in view at all times as you walk the three and a half mile perimeter of the peninsula. Walking, jogging and bicycling are common on the streets because auto traffic is very light.
