This extremely quiet one-bedroom guest apartment is located high in the Hollywood Hills, adjacent to Beverly Hills. It's situated above the famed Sunset Strip (with dining, theaters, and shopping), on Sunset Plaza Drive - a street that many celebrities have made their own. The home features spectacular city and ocean views. It has a private swimming pool and whirlpool (shared with the owners). The apartment features handsome decor throughout, and includes a number of wonderful amenities. One bedroom has a California king-size bed. There are two private baths -- one full and one 3/4. The living room comes with a dining area, a comfortable leather couch, and a day bed with an additional trundle bed (sleeps two separately). The living room is light -- with four windows offering a display of Los Angeles at your feet.

There is a separate dressing area with built-in closets, shelves, an enclosed washer and dryer, and a full-size mirror. There's a separate storage closet for suitcases and brooms. And ample parking is available on the street. The apartment opens to a spacious deck with a large private swimming pool, a gas grill, and a whirlpool. Linens (including bath towels), an ironing board, and iron are provided. Additional amenities include a telephone, air-conditioning, cable TV, and a VCR. You'll enjoy immediate access to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, all connecting freeways, Universal Studios, and most major studios.

And it's only 30 minutes to the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice! Gone Hollywood!

We felt like movie stars floating in our swimming pool while looking out over the city and the beautiful neighboring homes built into the steep walls of the canyon. The location was perfect for sightseeing on Sunset and Hollywood Blvds, Beverly Hills, movie studios, dining and shopping. The layout of the apartment works well for 2 adults and 1 or 2 older children. It was clean and perfectly maintained. The owners live upstairs and are very easy to deal with.
Some people may have a problem with the steep, narrow, twisty road filled with impatient drivers, the on-street parking, and the 31 steps down from the street to the apartment. For us, this was only a minor issue that was more than offset by all of the positives. I highly recommend this property and hope to be able to return someday.
