The spacious living room has cable TV, a wood stove, and a beautiful adjoining sun room. The first-floor bath includes a washer and dryer. New towels are provided.
The master bedroom is huge; the beds have excellent mattresses and high-quality linens.
The house has central heat, and there is a Vermont Casting wood stove in the living room. French doors provide deck access from both the living room and master bedroom. The master bedroom and a second bedroom are on the first floor, along with the bath, living room, kitchen, dining area, and sun room. A third bedroom and a second bath are on the second floor. The roominess of this home allows up to six people to live in comfort.
There are several places to buy lobster in the area.
And if you are a novice at cooking fresh lobster, there is a fun video at the house on how to cook and eat a Maine lobster. Fresh clams, crab, mussels, and fish are also easily available in the area. And, if you prefer to eat out, there are many choices for terrific seafood dinners.
The beach is a five-minute walk away. A public boat launch is available at the bottom of the hill. The spectacular Acadia National Park is one hour away, as is the popular tourist town of Bar Harbor.
The house is located almost mid-point between Blue Hill and Stonington -- both interesting ocean towns to explore.
