'Tropical Garden Paradise' is only steps from the beach and is very affordable. Hale Kai is a 1,000 square-foot, two-bedroom cottage, situated just steps from Kailua Beach through a private access gate at the end of our street. The cottage offers its own private entry, a full kitchen, and a private tropical lanai for relaxing. The home is nicely furnished in a tropical decor. Amenities include two TVs, two VCRs, a stereo, and a microwave. The neighboring beachfront homes rent for $700 and up per day.

It is about three miles long with soft silky sand that makes for a delightful morning walk. The is a coral reef about a mile off shore and it keeps the waves small so children can enjoy the light surf. Our home is on a private street with just five other houses, we have a private locked gate that provides direct access to the beach.
