In an ideal central location, Park Mansions is a landmark building at the hub of one of the best shopping and residential areas in London. Hyde Park is across the street to the north; Harrods and Knightsbridge Underground Station are across the street to the south. There are six restaurants, a pub, and famous stores on the lower floors of the building. This third-floor apartment satisfies the visitor's need for comfort and quiet. Rooms are charmingly furnished to the high standards of one's own home (rather than that of rental units). Two can be accommodated in the bedroom, and the living room sofa can be converted to a bed for an additional guest. The living room has a TV/DVD player, radio, stereo, CD player, telephone, fax, answering machine, and fireplace. The kitchen has all appliances, including a cookstove, oven, microwave, and washer and dryer. There is also silverware, china, and utensils for four or more people.

Knightsbridge is one of the most fashionable areas of central London. Immediately south of Hyde Park, it stretches from the South Kensington museums to Hyde Park Corner. Central to Knightsbridge is the world-famous Harrods department store, with other famous names nearby in Brompton Road and Sloane Street. Hyde Park, with its many attractions, provides opportunity for walking, cycling, running, and rowing. Knightsbridge is a transportation hub, with the Knightsbridge Underground station, many bus routes, and a ready flow of taxis.

The bedroom has side-by-side twin beds (can be made up as king size) and an en-suite tiled bathroom with power shower (new 2008). Cleaning service is provided twice a week. There is a porter on duty at the main entrance 24 hours a day.

The Surrounding Area: The Knightsbridge Underground station (Piccadilly Line) is across the street, with direct service every few minutes east to Green Park, Piccadilly, and Covent Garden; west to South Kensington and Heathrow. Buses and taxis are readily available at the door of the building. The Burberry and Jaeger stores are in the Park Mansions building. The inimitable Harrods, with its acres of food halls and other delights, is across the street to the southwest.Sloane Street offers many stores such as Cartier, Lalique, Vuitton, Armani, Dior, Yves St. Laurent, and others equally famous. Banks and American Express are down the street, together with drug and grocery stores, newsagents,delicateddens, restaurants, and fast food outlets.

Across the street to the north, Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens offers country surroundings. There you can walk, run, ride, and row. There is a children's playground right at the entrance of the park from Knightsbridge. Many museums, including the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, and the Victoria and Albert Museum (the V & A), are only a few minutes' walk away. At the Albert Hall (about the same distance) there are classical and popular concerts several nights a week. Buckingham Palace is about a ten-minute walk in the other direction. And it's just a short Underground or taxi ride to the theater district. We have owned these apartments for over 20 years and have had many happy visitors. The flat is in the most wonderful location. You have Harrod's to begin your shopping spree, a Pub next door for lunch and Mr. Chow's for a luxurious dinner. You are within walking distance of everything imaginable. From museums, Zara's, H&M, Buckingham Palace. The time goes by just too quickly.
The flat allows you to energize and go out again in the evening to a Club in Soho or your choice of Pub. You will thoroughly enjoy yourself.
The owner of the flat is so helpful and awesome to work with. I highly recommend this flat.
