Midtown Manhattan holiday condo

Thanks to the generosity of the owner, I spent three nights here with a great Hudson River view, high above Manhattan, and they were the finest three nights I've had in recent memory. Beautifully designed rooms featuring luxurious queen-size bed, flat panel screen in the living room, and full service kitchen with top of the line stainless steel appliances and marble countertops. The spectacular nighttime views equal five-star lodging.

The building is ideally situated in the heart of everything, literally 2 steps to Time Square and seconds to food, coffee, and shopping. You can (and I did) wake up in the morning and grab a coffee and croissant at the nearby Starbuck, then skip across the street to Times Square to take in the glorious feelings of what New York is most famous for, follow that up with a stroll uptown for shopping and a show at Lincoln Center, or down for Broadway shows or LES barhopping.

Service at the building is outstanding--friendly, eager to help, but unobtrusive when you want privacy. Especially there is always a doorman who assists you with the door and/or the revolving door at any hour of the day or night. He helped me with my luggage from the cab and refused the tips, incredible!

The birdseye view description is right on target. The floor-to-ceiling windows in 2 rooms give a breathtaking view of Manhattan and beyond that make you feel like the lords of the city. The high floor offers a lordly perspective that reaches all the way to the Statue of Liberty. You have no doubt what unique city you are in and where you fit into it. Its central location means that you can walk to many points of interest or take the nearby 42nd St. subway to the others.

This is a big building, very modern, that boasts of helpful doormen and staff. The apartment is very large, quiet and pleasant, well furnished with modern furniture. It has a fully loaded kitchen with all equipment provided. The bedroom is surprisingly large with a comfortable bed that is welcome after a day of sightseeing or an evening of fun.The bath is beautiful and spotless.

The owner is friendly and a pleasure to deal with. This is a special place. I'm glad I stayed here on 2 occasions and look forward to more.
