Getting about:
You can make great excursions to places of historic interest: Crusader castles (Richard Lionheart), the Abbey of Bellapais, Genoese and Venetian fortresses (Othello tower), magnificent antique Salamis (Roman Amphitheatre, kings’ graves, gymnasium, mosaics, etc.) excavation sites at Soli & Vuoni; Yacht and fisher harbour in Girne, old kervanserays and Turkish Baths, etc. There are reasonably priced hire-cars, cheap buses and ship-tours. Orchid and Wild Flower Walks are guided. And of course now that the border is open, you can also make excursions into the Greek side.

Flights are from Heathrow, Stansted, Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast either to 'Ercan' which is the airport in North Cyprus ,with Cyprus Turkish Airlines or Turkish Airlines.Transfer time from Ercan is 50 minutes, at GBP 25 one-way; we arrange. Or you fly to Larnaca, on the Greek side with BA, Cyprus Airways, Helios Air, Alitalia and others. Transfer time is 100 minutes at GBP 45 max 4 people; GBP 60 up to seven people.
