The Thai Cottage is a rustic tropical South Seas style cottage surrounded by lush vegetation including banana trees, coconut trees and a variety of native Hawaiian flowering trees and shrubs. This is a very affordable Haena property. It features a full kitchen, new stove and refrigerator, king size bed, new tropical style furniture, new flat screen TV, and local style private outdoor tropical shower. Wireless internet access is available. We also offer a full BBQ area with picnic tables and free laundry facilities. The Thai Cottage is perfect for the cultured world traveler. Its unusual interior construction gives the feeling of residing in a South Pacific hideaway.

Situated just four miles from Hanalei and approximately half a mile from Tunnels Beach, it is a most desirable location. There is horse pastures behind the property leading up to the Bali Hai mountains.

Notes: Guests of the Thai House return year after year, and some stay as long as two months at a time because of the relaxed South Seas tropical atmosphere of this special cottage. There is a picnic table in the garden for guests of the Thai Cottage or guests may choose to dine in the common area. The new Weber BBQ with side burner is available in the Common Area as well. Guests are welcome to use the free laundry facilities. The Thai Cottage is virtually the most affordable accommodation of its type on the North Shore of Kaua'i.

Close to the Beach: Our guests really enjoy walking only one block to the ocean at Ku'au beach, where they can relax on this clean sandy beach or walk continuously from one beach to another until reaching Ke'e at 'the end of the road'.

Hiking and Snorkeling: Enjoy hiking the spectacular Kalalau Trail only two miles from the Thai Cottage. Walk to Tunnels Beach only .6 mile away and explore the reefs snorkeling. From Tunnels Beach, our guests can enjoy spectacular sunsets over Bali Hai.

Kayaking Adventure and Golfing: Enjoy kayaking on Hanalei River, or many other river and ocean locations and only 15 minute drive to World Class Golf at the Princeville Resort. We are confident that after a few nights stay with us you will appreciate why people call Kaua'i 'paradise on earth.'
