Perfect for a family reunion

This house was everything we wished for and more. We had it for a week in mid-August. We planned on getting married around that time and wanted a house to host our families flying over from Europe for the special event. We started looking way early, about 8 months in advance. One of us visited this house in Jan and fell in love with it. The price was really a bargain. Comparable places were $4500+, completely beyond our means. We were so happy to find this place, and fortunate it was available! In the end, we also held our tiny wedding reception on the huge back deck, after getting married on a nearby beach. The deck had plenty of space for both dining and a dance ring. We decorated it with Chinese lamps, booked a chef for the evening, set three tables, played some music from our own collection, et voila, there was our tiny budget wedding reception!
The house was clean, homey, cozy, and perfect for hanging out. Very clean bathrooms and kitchen. Lots of flatware, glassware and utensils in the kitchen. The pantry was well stocked with spices, found all we needed for a good BBQ. Lots of space to eat outside on the back deck, as well as in the living room. Also, the front deck overlooking the pool, partially covered, offered shade in the hot afternoons.
Plenty of fun things to do around the house, and the owner provided lots of equipment. We played soccer and Frisbee in the front yard. Kids were ecstatic about the pool, playing with water pistols, available on site, and feeding the fish. The hot tub was awesome, we used it a lot during the day, and at nighttime. It fits 6 people easily or 8 if they squeeze a bit. It has different settings for the lights, awesome at night time. The pool table and the foosball were a hit! Also, there are 3-4 hammocks hanging in the trees in the back, so we never had to fight for one :) Plenty of things to explore in the vicinity of the house too, for those into walking.
Bob, the owner, was very nice. Whenever we needed something (e.g., we could not find the iron and the ironing boards) we’d call him and he’d patiently guide us in finding the missing items :-) Also, we misunderstood the check-out time (our mistake) and stayed 3 hours beyond that, but Bob was really cool about it. He didn’t rush us at all. He and the cleaning lady went about preparing for the next guests, starting with the parts of the house that we we did vacate in time, so as to not disturb us as much as possible. Thanks Bob, we had a terrific time!
