The natural stone house is a detached property and located in a quiet olive grove with a sea view. The units in the house have state of the art furnishings. The units are situated in a way that they are fully independent of each other and offer a private area for rest and relaxation. The house is an ideal location for hiking groups or large family groups of up to 11 people. The property is surrounded by walls and is suitable for children. There is a small holiday resort town with two taverns located up from the house. There are kilometers of sandy beaches situated down from the house with taverns where one can enjoy original Cretan cuisine and great wine from the region. The beaches are located minutes away by car. They are 20/30 minutes away by foot. On the way to the house you can get your shopping in one of the two supermarkets in Rethymon.

The second house is on the east side of the complex. The entrance is to the north. When you enter the house you will find yourself in the fully furnished fitted kitchen with blue and white color scheme. There is an eating area with sea view, a comfortable sofa area with a large round glass table and the exit to the south-facing terrace in the large well-lit living room. The modern bathroom also with blue and white color scheme is located beside the two bedrooms. The smaller of the two is equipped with two single beds. The larger of the two has a double bed and boasts a wonderful view over the sea and an entrance onto the south-facing balcony of the house. The large north easterly terrace offers an impressive view over the mountains, and one can relax in the shade even during the afternoon in the middle of summer.

The traditional town is called Agia Paraskevi. It has 24 houses, two small chapels, a children's play area and a small cafe in the center. All houses are made of stone and fit well into the mountains and landscape. You really have a dream view over the sea and the two islands Paximadis and Gaftos. The town is only occupied by walkers and travelers during the summer months. Castello Penita is situated 400 meters down from the town center.

Lage: Das Haus liegt in einer der schönsten Gegenden Kretas. Ruhig und abgelegen an der Südküste. Für Individualisten ideal. 5 Sterne.

Haus: Schönes Steinhaus, dass sich gut in die Landschaft fügt. Viele Terrassen zum Sonnen (vor allem in Haus 2). Sonnenliegen vorhanden. Sehr schöner Blick aufs Meer. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche (u.a. Herd, Backofen, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher). Bad mit guter Dusche. Waschmaschine vorhanden. Einige hübsche Details (Windlichter, Kuschelecke). Die Einrichtung ist ansonsten zweckmäßig. Atmosphäre: schlicht und privat. 4 Sterne.

Preis: Sehr korrekt. Günstiger als viele andere Häuser in der Gegend. Dabei besser! 5 Sterne.

Service: Deutsche Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort (wohnt wenig Kilometer vom Haus entfernt). Sehr nett und hilfsbereit. 5 Sterne.

Essen: Sehr empfehlenswerte Taverne unten am Ligres Beach (wenige Autominuten vom Haus). Ansonsten sehr gute Möglichkeiten zur Selbstverpflegung. 5 Sterne.

Strand: Die Strände von Akoumia / Triopetra, Ligres und Limni sind schön und leer. Gut zum Sonnen (feiner Kies). Angenehm zum Baden. Das Wasser wird allerdings schnell tiefer. Für Kinder nur bedingt geeignet. Flachere Strände für Kinder sind mit dem Auto in etwa 40 Minuten erreichbar (Damnoni, Plakias). 4 Sterne.

Wandern: Die Landschaft rund um Agia Paraskevi ist von rauhem Charme. Gut für Spaziergänge und Wanderungen. Der Hausberg Assideroto (bis 1162m) bietet eine tolle Aussicht. Der Aufstieg direkt vom Haus ist allerdings abenteuerlich und recht anstrengend. Besser von Akoumia aus: Dort gibt es einen Weg. 4 Sterne.

Fazit: Gute Unterkunft für Individualisten, die Ruhe und Erholung suchen. Auch wer die Gegend rund um Spili erkunden will, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Mietwagen vorausgesetzt.

wir 60+61 haben hier die ruhe gefunden.entspannung pur.mit der örtlichen ansprechpartnerin klappte
die ankunft prima.die räumlichkeiten und das ganze drumherum sind hervorragend.hier gibt es noch strand der nicht bevölkert ist.oberhalb vom haus gibt es ein kleines
neu aufgebautes dorf wo mann auch gemütlich bei einem glas wein den abend genießen kann.hier könnten wir es länger aushalten.zum regenerieren ist das domizil sehr gut geeignet.nächstes mal bleiben wir länger.
