Located in Scottsdale Ranch, The Islands is a small gated community of 50 luxury homes. Our two-bedroom/two-bath home is on waterfront property, with its own private dock. Enjoy relaxing on the back patio while gazing out at the lake, and listening to the waterfall. The community has a heated pool and spa. Inside, the home is furnished to the max. Amenities include three TVs (one big-screen, cable TV), a DVD, a Bose CD, and a stereo system. There is also an attached two-car garage. This place has it all! Restaurants and shopping are nearby -- within one mile.

The Island home

This welcoming home is located in a well-groomed upscale community, conveniently located in Scottsdale.

Soaring ceilings; four-poster bed and Armoire in master bedroom; pleasantly-decorated master bathroom (which made a cheerful and relaxed start of the day) -- with very large tub and separate walk-in shower; great deal of closet space, including a walk-in closet for the master bedroom; architectural details throughout, including skylights in the two bathrooms that kept the rooms well-lit during the daytime hours; and tall windows to enjoy the view of Lake Serena even when you are seated in the house.

The two bedrooms are a distance from each other -- which would make it perfect for two couples who each want privacy and their own bathroom.

We loved in the evening to sit outside with our books and watch the occasional neighbors’ boat float by. A taste of paradise.

I would recommend this for anyone who wants a winter get-away. We hope to have the opportunity to return.
