All amenities included: fully stocked kitchen, double lanai with gas barbecue, newly tiled bathrooms with new vanities, ceiling fans in most rooms, full size washer and dryer, beach equipment, and discounted golf ($55). Beaches: The very best beaches on the island are only 8 - 15 minutes away. Famous Hapuna Beach, 'A' Bay, and the Mauna Kea Beach are only three. Snorkeling at Puako is fabulous as well as other nearby sites. All beaches are public in Hawaii so there are many from which to choose.

Shopping and Dining: World class resorts are but a short drive away. International cuisine and designer shops are available. The Kings Shops offer a multitude of shopping opportunities from souvenirs to top of the line fashions to a variety of eateries. The new Queen's Marketplace has several dining establishments including Macaroni Grill. King and Queen's Day Spa/Salon features a full menu of services.

Exploring the Island: There are a multitude of exploration possibilities on the island. Waipio Valley (1 hr drive) offers gorgeous views and opportunities to venture into the valley via horseback, wagon, or shuttle. The volcano is a 2 hour drive. Don't miss seeing lava entering the sea or hiking inside an ancient crater or lava tube! Waimea, home to Parker Ranch and paniolos (cowboys) is a 15 minute drive. Visit the famous Parker Ranch homes as well as the museums. Enjoy first class restaurants such as Merryman's or Daniel Theibaut's. Hilo, the county seat, is 1 1/2 hours away. While there visit the Hawaii National Tropical Botanical gardens for a glimpse of a jungle-like paradise!

Golf: Paniolo Club sits on an 18 hole world class Robert Trent Jones designed golf course. Guests in #108 receive $55 green fees!! The clubhouse features a restaurant, bar, pool, tennis courts, rentals, and shop.

I would sincerely use this rental property again. It is well taken care of. All of my email and phone calls was return in a timely matter. The place is beautiful. The swimming area offer so much. We really enjoyed our stay. It's such a safe place to live. I work in pubic safety for 24yrs. I have been on many vacations. None compare to how safe I felt. It is definite home away from home.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words. Our unit has received many positive reviews.....actually only positive reviews. We do feel our unit has a lot to offer the traveler......or someone who wants to stay put for a month or two! It is our "home in paradise" so we have tried to see that every detail is not overlooked. We definitely think our place is a bargain for what you really get and certainly one of the best units in our complex. We have tried to be readily available for the potential renter as well as returning correspondence and phone calls quickly once the renters are on site. We take this responsibility very seriously and handle everything personally. Give us a try! You won't be sorry! We have many returning guests.

We only stayed four days, but we had a great time. We loved the condo and had everything we needed. It was easy to check in and check out. We would definitely stay again.

We have stayed in the Hale Luana of Mary and Ray Peterson 2 years in a row now, and we are looking forward to stay there again. The minute we enter the condo, we feel at home there. Our spirit is lifted by the beautiful surrounding, the spacious and light atmosphere, the excellent taste with which the condo has been decorated. We love to cook our meals in the well appointed kitchen (a great supermarket is within walking distance), and to eat on the lanai, watching the birds and the golfers.Everything is provided for a most pleasurable stay, even books and music CDs. We can highly recommend this vacation paradise. Gisela J.

We stayed at Ray and Mary's place for a month and the comments from other guests are right on the mark. This is a great place and we highly recommend it. Everything worked well, from getting to the place, getting in the door, staying in the condo, leaving and getting the damage deposit back. It is exactly as it is described and shown in the photos, and there are lots of extras. Staying with 4 adults is comfortable and roomy. Thanks again for a great stay and for being such great hosts.

spent a wonderful winter month in 2006.the condo was wonderfully appointed with attention to details.Close to all sorts of activities.the Andersons are fine hosts.A home away from home.
