The lava flow viewing site is only about a 20 minute drive away. See the many waterfalls this side of Hawaii has to offer. Hilo is only 35 miles away and Volcano National Park is 29 miles. Don't forget to see the Thurston Lava Tube. Lava Tree Park is a must see on your way in.
