Lisheen castle was restored from total ruin from 1995 –2000 by the Everard family. Since then it has operated as luxurious self-catering accommodation although catering can be arranged upon request. During your stay at Lisheen the entire castle will be exclusive to you and your party making it a unique experience to be remembered. The castle is located centrally in Ireland in the County of Tipperary making it very accessible to many of the magnificent and historic sites of Ireland during your stay. There are lots of sporting activities to see and do in the local area such as hurling, football, horse racing, riding, greyhound racing, hill walking, golf, tennis, fishing, and great sessions of traditional Irish music in our local pubs. There are lots of historic towns and gardens well worth a visit, eg, Holycross, Cashel, Cahir, Lismore, Kilkenny, and Birr etc. Our pubs do an excellent lunch and for dinner there are very good local country house restaurants.
