At the Crooked Lake Retreat you'll find a beautiful, fully furnished, executive home supplied with all the necessary elements which will make you feel like you have returned home. The great room is striking in its openness. Its glass doors and large high-level panes allow an unobstructed view of Crooked Lake and the beautiful, large deck. The architecture of the great room, entry foyer, kitchen, and dining area create an expansive, open feeling. The floor is hardwood oak throughout the great room and hardwood laminate upstairs. There are ceiling-level Casablanca fans to cool, or provide air circulation for the great room and the TV Room. There is a complete entertainment center in the great room, with a large plasma TV satellite-dish connected, a VCR, DVD player, plus a stereo with a CD player in the family room. The gourmet kitchen has two range/ovens, as well as two microwaves. There is a separate wet bar and full sized refrigerator in the bar area for entertaining

Steuben County is known for its relaxed pace and 101 natural lakes in the county. All freshwater water sports are available locally. We are in Amish country and antique shops are plentiful. We are about 1 hour's drive from Notre Dame and about one-half hour drive from Auburn's famous Auto and Air Museums. A bison preserve and a small winery are just 15 minutes away.

There are 6 bedrooms with three bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs there is one large bedroom, and two bathrooms. Some of the bedrooms have their own television and DVD player. You may wish to dock your boat or jet skis at our own private dock. Enjoy the excellent fishing that the Crooked Lake affords. Or play in the water and pebbly water beach bottom in front of your home. Or simply relax as you lounge on the patio furniture of your deck and enjoy the beauty of the lake. For cooler weather you'll enjoy the fireplace accenting the dining room and great room. Beautiful fall and winter lake views await you. If you are visiting South Bend, you can enjoy a beautiful commute to and from Notre Dame football and then relax in a setting which has all the comforts of home. In addition to the Crooked Lake Retreat, you may want to also rent the Jimmerson Retreat if you have a very large family reunion, group gathering, or business meeting.

This was the perfect place for our family reunion. Great layout for 5 families with 10 kids. Kitchen was well-appointed for our large group. Right on the lake with yard space for play. Good fishing!

WInter stay at Crooked Lake

The accomodations in this home were great, the beds were comfortable the kitchen was well equipped. The home was very clean and well maintained. We stayed during the winter months as a weekend getaway and everything was perfect, the view of the lake was great with everything frozen over and the snow falling. Even though we didn't do much outside, the deck, yard and gazebo looked wonderful for summer evenings. Everyone we stayed with said they would consider this home again.

We had a lovely stay for a weekend. The views are incredible, the amenities are fabulous, and the atmosphere is elegant yet relaxing! I highly recommend this property for a large family reunion/vacation. We went in fall/winter, yet the lake was beautiful and the area was perfect, being close to the outlet mall. Will rent again!
