Lagoon House is the epitome of a piece of paradise. This home is built on the premiere swimming spot at Kapoho and features a huge, crystal clear, private lagoon that is stocked with exotic tropical fish – it’s nothing short of having your own 500,000 gallon snorkeling aquarium right in your back yard! The Lagoon House features a spacious living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom with queen size bed and single bed, a second bedroom with double bed and small loft bed, 1 bathroom and lots of deck overlooking the lagoon and ocean. Downstairs is a large, shady lanai at waters edge, a third bedroom with bunk beds and a second bathroom with shower and changing room. A two-car carport includes an enclosed laundry, storage area and barbecue grill. The yard is beautifully landscaped with flowering shrubs, palm tress, a manicured lawn and other tropical plantings.

Pahoa, about 9 miles from Kapoho, offers plenty of options for groceries, supplies and fun shopping. Several markets, including a top-notch natural foods market and a 24 hour convenience store, a fish market, a farmer’s market, half-a-dozen good restaurants (two of which are *very* good), a live music club, video store, and an ever-changing array of colorful and offbeat shops selling hand-crafted souvenirs, tropical plants and flowers, original art and island apparel can be found in this bohemian village center. Hilo, county seat and the island’s largest city, is about 20 miles from Pahoa. A bastion of Hawaiian history and culture, Hilo is home to museums, botanical gardens and cultural centers. Each April Hilo hosts the Merrie Monarch Festival; often called the “Olympics of Hula.” Hilo also offers supermarkets and shops, golf courses, state of the art movie theaters, many fine restaurants and a laid back Aloha atmosphere that is treasured by locals and visitors alike.

Truly enchanting

Wow! What a truly enchanting place, it's so hard to describe what a great time we had. On our next to the last day, we swam with no fewer than 10 sea turtles in the Champagne Pond next door. The fish and your pond were of course awesome. Loved the breezes, the sun, the rain, and most of all we loved how close our family became, us 3 island adventurers! Hope to visit next year! Mahalo--
P.S. I was hoping we could watch the Wizard of Oz so that Evan could see Ann's Uncle ray Bolger. Unfortunately, he was too tired from swimming with the fish and turtles to watch a movie.

Absolutely amazing! What a wonderful place. If you are looking for a one of a kind experience on the Big Island, this is it. The house is comfortable, the lagoon is too wonderful for mere words. We had plans to just "stay" at the Lagoon House and explore the island during the day, but changed our plans and spent time "at home". Puffy the puffer fish was charming and we felt guilty getting in the lagoon without a few snails to feed her! It is like having your own private aquarium to swim in. You will love this place!

Lagoon house was unbelievable! We had seen the photos, but I was speechless when I arrived. The kids (10,13) were in Heaven snorkeling! We saw more fish and turtles then we will probably ever see anywhere again!
We made it to the Coral Garden's in the next subdivision and they were absolutly gorgeous. Be sure to ask how to get there.
The house is very nice and peaceful. I would move in if I could!!
They need to change the name to
"A Taste Of Heaven" because it was so serine and beuatiful.
IF you need a place to get away from it all, this is the place for you!!
