Phoenix holiday condo

We stayed at the condo for a week in March, 2009, and found it to be substantially as advertised. The setting was quite attractive with well-maintained grounds. The condo was clean and well-maintained as well, with only a minor problem, which will no doubt be fixed for the next user (running toilet). Although our stay was technically still in the “High Season,” the economy and/or the time of season (presumably) had resulted in a low occupancy rate for the facility, rendering the stay pleasantly quiet.

We had received a rather formal and extensive rental document in advance, but it was not until we arrived that we realized that we had received no instructions on how to get into the place. We eventually were able to sort that out after a few, if inconvenient, telephone calls. The cable service had been cut off, inadvertently, but was restored after a couple of days of coordination. The kitchen was nicely equipped but, apparently, not by someone who had actual experience living there; so there were some minor “work-arounds” to make it more convenient. And, finally, our security deposit was returned after a few weeks of additional “coordination” with management and the owner.

In summary, the stay was pleasant, complicated only by what seemed to be an attitude that customer convenience is a second thought.
