Agriturismo Pomantell is a wonderful place for a vacation in the middle of nature, where you can enjoy yourself. The country house is located on a hill and offers a fascinating view over the fields and woods of the neighbouring protected area. There are two vacation apartments in the main house, and other two apartments in the adjoining building. They are all arranged with love for details, with good taste and in an old style. In the tavern belonging to the house, Monika and Fabrizio (German-Italian) prepare delicious wild boar dishes or pizza in the oven on wood. You are welcome to come in. You can also enjoy the sunset over the picturesque castle of Torre Alfina. The unique view, the silence and the good air help you to forget the daily routine. There is a playground for children. The place is an ideal starting point for excursions.

House and close neighbourhood

Each apartment has its own terrace with garden furniture. With a glass of good wine, you can admire spectacular sunsets. This place is ideal for couples, groups and also for families. The adults can relax, while the children enjoy themselves playing: swings, sand-box, Wendy house with slide, kicker, etc. You can also pet small animals. You can use our pottery workshop for free, you can try to work with potter’s clay or you can use your creativity some other way. The Bolsena Lake with clear waters is only 20 min. away. Our guests can use the small property with deck-chairs and surfboards directly next to the lake. There is also fish from the neighbouring fishermen. We are eager to give good tips about excursions to those who want to ride a motor bike. You can also use the workshop 2 mountain bikes stay at your disposal.

Tourist feature

There are a lot of places of interest in the neighbourhood. Chambre d'amis in Torre Alfina, city visiting in Orvieto, Rome (you have a train connection from Orvieto and you can reach Rome within 1 hour), Siena and Florence, the Monster Park of Bomarzo, Civita di Bagnoregio (romantic cliff-dwelling village which you can only reach on foot over a rope bridge), Villa Lante in Bagnaia (wonderful Renaissance castle), the mystic Tarot Garden by Niki de Saint Phalle, the graves of the Etruscans and the museum in Tarquinia, boat trips with visit of the island Bisentina (former residence of the Pope).

Food and Restaurants

We offer our guests very good, advantageous red and white wine. In the village situated 1,5km away there are two good restaurants and an award-winning ice cream parlour. We offer good hints about restaurants, where you can find delicacies, olive oil, feta cheese and honey. A gastronomic speciality is for example the Corregone, a sort of whitefish, that can be prepared in many delicious ways.
