Awesome - Beautiful - Quiet

My wife and I stayed here 3/19 to 3/24/09 and loved it! The property was amazing and exactly as represented and pictured. Very beautiful, clean, private and we loved being able to sleep with the windows open. Salt River and a national park are right out the back door and we could see the lights twinkling on St. Thomas and St. John during a few evenings. The interior of the house is tastefully decorated and the landscaping was beautiful. The washer and dryer appeared nearly new, the TV's worked great and we liked having a stereo with an ipod connection. Lots of brochures available for exploring the island and plenty of books for reading if you choose. The pool was nice and clean and we loved soaking up the sun in serenity.
As for the island, it is very laid back and there are lots of neat places to explore. Visit Luncheria in Christiansted for an excellent mexican lunch. The Domino Club was neat to visit for a drink in the rain forest. Visit Lobster Reef off N. Shore Road for a drink and excellent view of the coast. Buccaneer Hotel bar provides a great view of sunset. The Galleon was nice for dinner and the food was great. Savant was our best meal and atmosphere! Comanche was nice for a drink or two........Rythms at Rainbow Beach provides a cool place to hang out and enjoy the beach on the west end.
On the negative side, the St. Croix Botanical Garden was not that great as it is kind of small. Also, we had one semi-bad experience at the Salt River Marina. On our last day we visited this place for lunch and arrived at about 11:45. The two women working there didn't seem the least bit happy to see us and it seemed as if we were intruding on their own lunch (I could see them eating back in the kitchen)! Won't be back to visit that place.
What a great trip! We highly recommend The Landings. Thanks for an awesome mini vacation!
