The Cottage at Kaaawa is both charming and reminiscent of what the guidebooks describe as Old Hawaii. Located just 45 minutes from the airport, ten minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center and Kualoa Ranch (where were horseback rides and jeep tours of the site where Jurassic Park and other movies were filmed), 30 minutes from the famed Banzai Pipeline, it is the perfect North Shore location. Our home is located right on the ocean with a sandy beach. The living/dining area overlooks the beach -- a perfect place to enjoy spectacular sunsets, whale watching, and viewing the turtles who so enjoy life on the North Shore. Both bedrooms enjoy an ocean view. The outdoor covered Tiki Bar bar is where you will be serving Mai Tai's as the sun sets.

We loved our stay at the cottage. It was so nice to be just a few steps to the beach. This was our first time not staying in a hotel (so to speak). It was wonderful! We will definitely come back again. Being able to run to the Foodland accross the street for stuff to BBQ was great. The kitchen had every tool a person would need. Also, we liked the binder full of ideas and menus. It wasver helpful. We torouhly enjoyed the Caramacs that were left for us upon our arrival. Mahalo!!

The back on the beach is great - the front :-(

The view from the house is absolutely beautiful! You have 5 steps into the wonderful clear water and fantastic sand beach.
But on the other hand side, you have also 5 steps to the highway which goes around the island.
Usually we live in a brick house in a quite area so it was very noisy for us. You could have the feeling that the trucks and bikes drove through your bed.
Debbie is a very helpful owner who does what she can and what was necessary. When we arrived, the house was not really clean. There was dust, hairs and little bugs in the corners. But she let someone come during the next day, to clean again. The teflon pots were totally scratched and she bought new ones.

Thanks Debbie for a very nice stay. The house is really nice right on the beach, we love enjoying morning swimming and watching sunrise from dining table. I am sure anyone will love this house if you stay there for your vacation where you want to get away from noisy city and looking for warm water, sun, view...

TRUE PARADISE

My family of five, which consisted of 3 children( ages 4,7, &11) my wife and I rented this wonderful home from April 17th to the 27th.2009. The pictures for this home are ok, because, until you are actually here in person, do you realize that the veiws from this property are 10 times more spectacular than you could ever see in the pictures!! The snorkeling was great, and it's right in your own backyard. Everything about this property was a 10++. The owner Deb, was very helpful with all our questions, and had quick responses anytime I e-mailed her for any reason. We were hesitant about renting a property that did not have any reveiws, because you just never know what you are getting for your money. But, after Deb answered some questions for us, we were so glad that we picked this home over another one on the leeward side of the island. The windward side is definitely the better side!! I could go on and on about how great this property is, but there are not enough words that can acurately describe it. So, to sum it up as best as I can, THIS IS TRUELY PARADISE!!
